Any and every Zeppelin performance in the USA is of "PINK FLOYD EPICNESS" because of their legendary status/time they were together.... thats my opinion...lol
I was there to, the kingdome sucked for sound anyway, its was nothing but an echo chamber. But waiting in line all day, and drinking southern comfort . Nobody cared , the same summer Peter Frampton, J. Geils and the rockets played to. It was a good summer for shows
Loverly video, thanks for sharing, and I rarely see that white outfit in motion. Just as an interest, why did you have to film it on a webcam? :) Peace out.
The video as posted looks like someone was shooting off the scoreboard display in the Kingdome (keystoned and a ton of lag) but its fun thinking back 32 years... ye gods.
... oh, yeah and a house feed for audio.. no crowd sound except for the bleed over. My ears were warm for about 3 full days after that...
look, these chain letter comment things are great, but does it realy make sense to copy and paste them on rock videos, where the ppl watching are already fans? lets copy and paste them onto rap crap or hip hop flop and try to ge extra fans. who agrees?
It's not a joke, this guy recored it off of his TV screen. Ths is available on DVD. As for the show, Page was smacked out of his mind as well as mot of the tour..which fell apart in Oakland.
You laugh at me because im different I laugh at you because your all the same
You say rap I say HARD ROCK!!!
92% of American teens have gone over to the rap/hip hop side of music. If your one of the 8% that's still headbangin' and disturbing the peace, copy and paste.

goddamn i hate people who watch seattle and say "1977 was the worst for led zeppelin" what are u people dense? here is a list of great 1977 lz performances: 1977-04-10 chicago 1977-04-19 cincinnati 1977-04-20 cincinnati 1977-04-28 cleveland 1977-04-27 cleveland 1977-05-18 birmingham 1977-05-21 houston 1977-05-22 fort worth 1977-05-30 landover 1977-06-03 tampa
the LA shows were amazing too. This would have been a great tour if Page would not have got into heroin and had his playing skills diminished. Plant was singing better than in 75' and JPJ and Bonzo are always solid so thats what kept the tour from being great, instead it just had its great moments and sometimes not so great. Would be interesting to hear what those great shows would have been like if Page was playing like he was in 73' or 75'
secret fact: Zepplin SUCKED in concert...I fell asleep during Bonhams drum solo when I saw them way back when...Satan's spell apparently didn't work Live...LOL
i agree they seem to suck in 1977. im reading hammer of the gods when they started the tour they came out the with problems, the band, entourage, manager, road manager and the roadies were all strung out out on herion, cocain, speed, drinking their just all fucked up. very good book if you havnt read it.
You never know what you're gonna get from Page. Sometimes he's sloppier than other times. That's what I love about him. Who wants a perfect note for note kind of player. That can get boring. You cannot judge his greatness on that alone. Remember, he thought up the chords for most of those great songs(Stairway, Rain Song, Achilles, etc)That counts for far more than playing the songs perfect all the time. He's also one of the greatest(if not the best)improvisors.Plays it different each time.WOW
i just gotta say that YES, they DID get slighted in the credits you ass. if you'd played in a band before you would know exactly what why. and if you ARE in a band, and AREN'T the bassist or drummer, amd dont see how this could happen, then you're just pompous and ignorent. i drum in a band and fuckin rights i write a lot of shit, i dont get marked down for it, because i didnt START the song... but hell, some of the best lines come from people you'd least expect. sometimes a line makes a song...
Atleast you know they were actually playing their instruments unlike the hacks that use electronics and voice overs to enhance live shows today. Last time i checked none of you lazy, disrespectful ignorant fools have ever played shows infront of millions of people. When you accomplish this then you can have an educated opinion. Don't believe thats going to happen anytime soon. As for analog it's difficult to work with and cannot make a guitarist sound good.
To funny roverboy.. peter piper, you just don't know when to stop going on about Page and Plant, it is seriously as if they did something really awful to you in your real life, the way you prance around like a little fuckin fairy posting nonsense comments about these two guys...
Seriously pier, if you lived within a 100 mile radius of me, I would come hunt you down, and beat the shit out of you, and not for what you have been saying about P&P just because of your attitude!
You are just some rich idiot who does nothing all day but sit and bully kids on various websites, trying to brainwash them into hating REAL musicians!!
You are a complete joke pier, how old are you again, late 40s?
No wonder other users your age follow you around, they are just looking out for the younger people on here who you try to bully and brainwash!
i love jones and bonham but how many songs did they make hmmmmm 5 or 6
jimmy page had a part in nearly every one and is probebly the greatest guitarist ever and considering people say '77 was their worst year this is bloody good
you obviously have a personal grudge against zeppelin so y dont u do us all a favor and fuck off
Jones and Bonham got ripped off in songwriting credits. Even Jonesy himself said in a "Tight But Loose" magazine article that he and Bonzo felt slighted on songwriting credits.
I would disagree. While Page may have been a sloppy guitarist, he still managed to make a lot of their live music sound good (and not just the albums where they edited and picked through their best shows, I'm talking about a lot of bootlegs as well). Bonzo was 99% of the time amazing and JPJ always kept the show together. I think they were an amazing live band personally, but yes, this song wasn't their best definitely, and..Bonzo did mess up the beginning of the song. But who cares, its Zep!!!!

Surprisingly, Page plays a 100% better solo here than at the Earl's Court show of 1975.

Zep had three weeks off before this show and still looked and played like they were partied out. The '77 tour had few great moments.

Led Spinal Tap.
Even in the days of analog electronics, Led Spinal Tap proves that a studio can make sloppy, hack wannabe musicians sound good.
Using one of 12 tickets I had, I saw these jokers 14-June-1977 in the greatest LZ venue, MSG.
Great pre-show buzz. These amateurs were 80 minutes late taking the stage.
Too bad Bonham and Jones found themselves mixed up with Jimmy Plagiarist and Fraudbert Plant.

Bonzo addd two beats to the R&R intro, threw Page off. Bozo disgustingly out of shape here in 77' also, too many good meals.
Typical Zeppelin show kids, they were never consistantly tight as a live band. First tour was a mess, many nights of sloppy (drugged out) Page.
Hours and hours of video (with moments inbetween) were gone through to get a decent showing for the 'How the west was won' vid release.
Zepp never dissapointed with their 'feel', honest musicians, not wannabe's.
