@blueskunk12 - are you accusing me of rejecting Christ? The fruit that emerges is God's work- true enough- nothing I said could cause you to think I believed otherwise- but God's fruit emerges only if we CHOOSE (this is free will) to SUBMIT to him- not to obey the law or earn our salvation- but out of love- love of Christ dying on the cross for our sins- as for not reaching up to God, well, that is blasphemous- we should always strive to be more like Christ- that is reaching up-
Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. 4 He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. 6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked. 1 John 2:3-6 NKJV)
My friend what you are talking is a half truth, unfortuntely hafl truths is still a lie. What this video is talking about is the cause for salvation but you missed out on the conditions of salvation.
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Titus 2:11-13
Romans 8:17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs--heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
Cont. But if Christians are right, you have to think about where your eternal soul will end up. Right now its not looking too good for you and I am sad for you...
@bigboy45454545 Just for the sake of arguement, let's say you're right: there is no God and nothing happens when you die. Well then for me as a follower of Christ (who is not imaginary btw) I lived a good life. I was healthy, didn't drink, smoke, do drugs. I was happily married to one man. And though I had difficult times I felt like I could rely on Someone you claim is imaginary to get me through them. And I go to my grave satisfied with my life.
I only agree with this to a certain extent. Yes, we must receive Christ as he said. But as Paul said, he was crucified with Christ. We must make the decision to put our selfishness away and stop living for ourselves. That's what I believe "giving your life to Jesus" means. But of course the glory does not belong to us, it belongs to The Father.
@shanming716 Once we have been saved then Jesus lives His life through us--if we try doing anything in the flesh and think we can do anything on our own or apart from Him we are fooling ourselves. We can't do it--we go to Him when we realize this and He does it in us and through us. The glory truly is His and not ours no matter what.
you actually started in truth and ended in error. john 15:16 is talking about his choosing of the APOSTLES. it is not talking about general salvation. the proof of that is that in john 6 Jesus also says "did i not choose you but one of you is a devil"? He also chose Judas the exact same way he chose peter. the difference was the response from the heart from peter verses Judas. this was before the new covenant was fully instituted so the rules of the law still applied.
@hellbindercda amen....amen....this is the exchanged life doctrine, which is a doctrine of passivity, a doctrine of the carnal christian where none of us choose Christ....if you love me you will follow my teaching.....you must CHOOSE to love him..and then his teaching emerges from that love, that surrender....why in so many places in the new testament does it use terms like submit to Christ...be a slave to Christ? You must surrender your life so that your life must die and live in Christ...
Lie # 1 is really that magic man Jesus died for you and your sins. Pure and utter nonsense for stupid religious Christian nut-jobs to believe. Then these Christians don't have to learn from their poor behavior, Jesus the imaginary scapegoat fixed it for you (your so-called sins) no matter what you did. You could be a serial killer and accept this nonsense of Jeebus and still go to imaginary Heaven. Wake up stupid Christian people, magic isn't real. Learn from your poor behavior.
@bigboy45454545 - There's no magic in Christianity. Why are you on this video anyway? Please stop trolling and talking about things you cannot possible relate to. By the way, sin is not poor behavior. Sin is in your flesh whether you are good person or a bad person. Jesus is not a scapegoat, he is the lamb that took upon Himself the sins of the world. Wake up and educate yourself and stop trolling.
@MartyJSwizzle You say there's no magic in Christianity. Could you please explain God's magic sperm knocking up a virgin. Explain talking snakes and rib-women and fruit which gives people knowledge? Explain a magic flood and where the water came from and where it went? Explain water into wine and walking on water and how dead people come back to life? Your whole religion like all religion is based upon magic which stupid people never question. BTW a miracle is magic from your nonexistent Gods.
@bigboy45454545 – Gimme a break, God doesn't have magic sperm. The bible says that through the power (that’s God's power, not frigg'n magic) of the Holy Spirit that Mary conceived a child. God's power is by his will that things come into existence; magic is something that illusionists perform. In other words, magic doesn’t exist. Stop reading the bible.
@bigboy45454545 - There's no talking snakes found in the bible. However, there is a serpent (which is not a snake) who had the capability to speak to humans but it no longer spoke after God’s curse on it and it was only after God cursed the serpent that it became a snake and had to crawl on it belly and smell with its tongue (Jacobson’s Organ). Stop reading the bible.
@bigboy45454545 - There’s no magical fruit found in the bible. The fruit that Adam and Eve ate did not have any magical or special properties. The bible says it was because of their disobedience to God (sin) that they recognized that they were naked; the fruit was only a vehicle (a means) that caused Adam and Eve to sin. In other words, Satan (the serpent) used the fruit to cause them to sin.
@bigboy45454545 - What’s wrong with God creating a woman from Adam’s rib? If God can create the world and everything in it, can He not create a woman from Adam’s rib? Look at what evolutionists believe how we got here; we were a single cell, then a multi-cell, then a bacteria, then a fish, then somehow we found each other, get married and had kids…..right. That sounds like a fairy-tale to me.
@bigboy45454545 - The flood was not magic, the bible says that the water came from beneath the earths crust and when earth burst open the oceans formed underneath the water and then the water ran into it forming the oceans we have now. Why is that so hard to conceive? Read the bible, in the beginning, the earth was first made of water and then land formed on top. Thus, the water was already here before the flood.
@bigboy45454545 - Honestly, I can’t fully explain the power of God, it is much greater than you or I can understand. But, I do know it’s not magic because the bible says that magic doesn’t exist.
The bible says that God’s power is the source of all strength (1 Chr. 29:12; Psa. 68:35), is exemplified in the creation (Psa. 102:25; Jer. 10:12) & establishing and governing all things (Psa. 65:6; 66:7). You call it magic, I call it science.
@bigboy45454545 - Look, you don’t have to believe it or agree with it but don’t mock it. I don’t mock things that I don’t believe in, why should you? The only reason for mocking something you don’t believe in because you actually have some sort of hatred or anger that you are harboring; you may not be honest enough to admit it but something about this irks you. Let it go and move on Mr. troll.
@MartyJSwizzle Look, I mock and I must mock because you're a Christian idiot amongst many Christian idiots. All comfortable in lying to each other for their nonexistent magic invisible friends who live in the sky. You're all retarded and deluded in some degree or another. Say hello to magic Jesus who lives in the sky for me.
@MartyJSwizzle Your retort is "some day you will die. Be ready." Sounds like a threat retard. Someday you'll die too. The difference is I know I'm not going anywhere. I know I simply won't exist anymore. Your belief that another life is waiting in a magic place is delusional. Your magic sky fairies won't be judging anyone. You don't believe in the Muslim God Allah. Maybe he'll judge you as the unfit retard that you are and you'll end up in that magic God's Hell. Religion is for retards.
@MartyJSwizzle Please go back to my previous comment and explain how the "magic" in your religion works? You're a shallow thinking person who needs to question reality a good bit more. Why don't we see magic of the Gods anymore? The answer is that your religion is pure horse-shit and you know it. Santa Claus isn't real either. Why don't you have a problem with this reality?
@bigboy45454545 - The power of God is not moved or manipulated by any man, thus it is not magic. God's power is what sustains everything in the universe, most unbelievers call it nature. There are instances of God's power being exemplified throughout the bible but there's nothing to suggest that God has stopped using His power. In this age, God has chosen to work behind the scenes and His power is still moving. God's power is exemplified when a person believes and receives Christ.
I don't know if your still around on YouTube but I realize you hate lies,me too. The self proclaimed apostle Paul/Saul was a liar. The truth about Salvation is we must keep all of the commandments and love God. So I think you need to change your number one. Matt 19:16 a man asks yahushua (Je'sus) how to gain eternal life/salvation and yahushua says keep the commandments...so are you saying he lied?
Ecclesiastes 12:13 "fear God and keep his commandments for this is the whole duty of man"
@deathknight228 You can'rt keep all of the commandments, Jesus went beyond the act to the thought-life.
The standard of perfection is God himself. Jesus had to come and give us his righteousness and save us from our sins. You are not keeping the law, the Holy Spirit is keeping you by the sheer grace of God through faith if you're redeemed. God gives faith grace and the will to do his good pleasure.
All have sinned and come short. Gal. 2:21 If righteous comes by the law, Christ died in vain.
@deathknight228 Acts 15:10 Peter called the law a yoke of bondage that neither he or his ancestors could bare. Be honest and admit you are not keeping all of the law, nor the 613 laws and Jewish Holidays to perfection which was a mandate under the Old Covenant in the Old Testament before Jesus died and rose again!
Wonderful teaching videos, it's good to see the spirit leading into all truth and setting the captives free. I was a Jehovah's witness for 30 years suffering with depression and burnout, one of their teachings that keeps millions in this trap is {if you on not suffering you are no in the truth.} Their idea of being in the truth is being in their organization controlled by men and not Christ..
@kifagi you need to go read lee stroble he has a book on disproving god and he did not believe in god for over half of his life, go read the book he did his research on it and he even held a debate between Christians and atheists and guess who one the Christians so go check that out and see if you say there is no go then how come a Harvard graduate could not disprove him? huh? we had him to my church it was great! and im not just saying this to say it go check him out
you just straight up STUPID AND DUMB sorry but you are and i dont let a group thing for me thank you every much! there is proof out there that he does exists your just too worried about yourself to even see it you are all comsumed with me me me that you dont look around you and see that other people are in need and that is one thing about be a believer in god is to help others forgive other i feel bad for you, you are going to just go to hell when you die that is a very sad thing!
even the doctors said that it WAS NOT them that it was wayy to bad so it WAS NOT medical technology! that is only soo far a long. i feel bad for you it must suck not having something to believe in you can say that there is no god but there is so much proof that he is real and that he is GREAT!!!
if there is not god then how come my great uncle survived close to 3 years with brain, bone, and lung cancer even is doctor said that if it wasnt for us praying for him he would have been died with in 6 months of us finding out that he had brain cancer. god id real and he is great!
what your saying with the in ordered to be saved basically is that we need his life that is true but you need to give up your live and like like god wants you too so you really are giving upp your live in a since cuz you need to change your old was and repent and ask him into your heart.
Jesus was talking to his disciples in this chapter... he chose them the 12. and not the other way around.. is that for us as well? WELL? IS IT? And if so .. can you back that up with scripture?
Jhn 15:27 And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.
Jesus was talking to his disciples in this chapter... he chose them the 12. and not the other way around.. is that for us as well? WELL? IS IT? And if so .. can you back that up with scripture?
I think that, like the pharisees we are so built in many of this teachings that is incredibly hard to give them up even when you see and understand the real doctrine. However, I am just asking. When you exchange your life for Christ, doesn't that mean that you give it to him? When the Bible says "he who shall loose his life shall win it" doesn't that mean that you are the one taking up the cross and giving your life to Jesus? This is a very honest question, no intent of quarrel :)
That's what I think too, that the modern Church is exactly like the Pharisees. We keep trying to follow God through our own effort. We go to Church, we read the Bible, we reach out to others, we try to set a good example, we give to the Church, we assist with Church functions.
Meanwhile, where is God in all this? We're busy doing the work instead of letting God work through us.
(Galatians 2:20) It is no longer I that live, but it is Christ Jesus who lives in union with me.... For I have died to myself to this world, and have become alive through Christ so that I may overcome this world!!! God Bless you all who listen to and obey The Word of God!!! Praise Jesus!!!
You have a point, Steve. I never thought of it in this way. It's not US giving him OUR life, but rather, JESUS giving HIS life to US. World of difference. Thanks
No, every person without exception is NOT elect to salvation. And men dont elect themselves, it is God who has elected a people before the creation of the world!
The scripture you quoted is talking specifically to the churches, not generally to all mankind.
Christ may choose us, but we still have to accept it. So in a sense, we are choosing His choosing of us:
"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." (Revelation 3:20).
The truth is, Christ has chosen everyone to be saved. But only few will accept and heed the calling.
@Lysimachus78 amen......His grace, His love embodied in the cross is the invitation we can never earn, but one He requires we accept...this acceptance is a submission to Christ...we do not die completely in this earth until we have our flesh removed...our flesh is still in sin..our spiritual self lives in Christ...when we choose sin, we choose flesh, when we choose Christ we choose the Spirit....why did Paul say we had to be free of our fleshly bodies to enter heaven?
Thanks Steve for exposing the lies of the enemy that is trying to keep believers from understanding who they are, because of what Jesus did for the believer on the cross and now the believer of Jesus has now a new nature. I pray that your message of grace will reach some leaders in the church and they too can share the good news to expose the lies that have been taught in the church.
Oh, but Steve, that too is a lie. For you are studying an outdated work. Religion was man's first attempt at science. Read a recently published science book instead. You'll find facts there.
realistic28 - here's a question: Did you become a Christian by keeping the Law? Your comments on other posts caused me to check your own site and I see that you are still young. Here's the answer to your question: "When I was a child I spoke as a child I understood as a child I thought as a child; but when I became a man I put away childish things." (1 Cor 13:11).
Christianity and Judaism are all based on lies and are ancient African stories, allegories and metaphors for the sun, planets and so forth.
The orginal Trinity was Mother, Father and Son.
Isis, Osiris and Horus.
Research all you can about Ancient Kemet now changed to Egypt. See where your Bible stories came from and you will also find out that all the Gods were orginally black and now changed to white.
It's all lies. I commend you for what your doing. Go for it. Expose the lies.
I think that, like the pharisees we are so built in many of this teachings that is incredibly hard to give them up even when you see and understand the real doctrine. However, I am just asking. When you exchange your life for Christ, doesn't that mean that you give it to him? This is a very honest question, no intent of quarrel :)
@SteveMcVey you missed the point realistic28 was making...in your doctrine, even if i revel in sin, unprepentent sin, as long as i believe in christ..wait. as long as Christ chose to exchange my life for his...then i can go on robbing from churches and raping and pillaging the land....this is blasphemy and your false doctrine will call you to face harsh judgment by God
I believe in Jesus. Am I a Christian even if i still break the law? I have this joy for stealing from who ever...does not matter who even if i broke into a church and stole the safe that was in the basement. I got allot of money from doing that job.
What does believe mean to you? It leaves room for doubt doesn't it. There's a difference in belife and facts. We've been so brain washed that we're afraid of true knowlege, well I'm not.
Jesus never existed mental freedom is salvation within itself.
I speak in love. Research for your self.
Just because your precher said it and it's been put in a book called the Bible doesn't make it true. The truth will set you free. It did me.
Peace to you. I'm a sister on a mission to raise the dead.
The only mission you are on is to spread the fumes of hell and deciet. Enjoy your feeding while you can, your days of poisoning the atmosphere with doubt, fear, doubtful disputations are very short lived. Who cares to feed on your 'knowledge' it is the wrong tree to be eating from. Right in your own eyes. Well good for you. I sense a root of bitterness in your words, and smell the darkness...
As a man thinks so is he/she. May your doubts and fear turn into reality and peace.
I have a peace that's unexplainable. No man gave it to me and no man can take it away. I didn't ever feel this kind of peace when I was in Christianity NEVER! It was aways a temporary peace. This peace is still.
You shall know the truth and the truth will set you free. Don't be angry or bitter. Mental slavery is a bad and makes you fearful when you're challenged to think on your own.
Who died and made you so supreme, that trash is out there just like the 'daVinci' garbage.. you are obviously 'right in your own eyes' what would be the end result of that?
Didn't know one die to make me supreme. I was born supreme.
That is a fact not a metaphor.
What is truth? Study and find out the facts not thrash.
You were even born a supreme being, but you're to hog tied in religion to see it. But it's ok I was once in your shoes. taught or read. May my comment inspire you to search deeper and most of all search within yourself . God doesn't need or promote religions, neither should you.
It is obvious you are assuming much which you do not really know. The Jesus I have met and know is not a religion promoter and neither am I. Jesus of Nazereth was real and is who he said he was. Who bewitched you, I do not know. I tell you in truth Jesus is the Father. I have found him right here in the midst of my very being. What say you of your own experience Mr. Curiousity63??
First of all it's Mrs. and I would like to know where you met him, I don't need to know the metaphor edition I need facts.
Until you can give me some actual facts outside the bible that a Jesus existed don't reply again.
It's a watse of my valuble time to debate with someone that hasn't been enlightened. I will respect your beliefs and I would appreciate if you would respect my knowledge.
Read more books outside your comfort zone. Bible says he's the SUN. not father
bro this is circular logic, I agree that we need to except God's gift and not givve ourselves the credit, but you are just trying to pick of fight with anything you can find by misjudging the words, but if we are to be crucified with Christ, we also need to give our life over to his control, we are not responsible for salvation, but we can be responsible for resisting it.
BTW I appologize to anyone who reads the first message I posted, someone else may understand it more than me, its not something I guess I wasnt ready to watch..again I appologize.
Friend, I just watched this video and I have to tell you being a "brand new christian" ...you not only confused me, but are making me look at my faith, guess Im not saved then....wish I hadnt watched your video sir, cause frankly now I dont know if Im saved or not.
I don't know if you really need to worry, I think this is a matter of semantics that McVey is pointing out, wherein "to receive" or to accept the sacrifice and forgiveness of Christ is more correct to say rather than for a person "to give" his life to Christ. If you have humbled yourself to Christ, God knows your heart inside out and you are probably fine, if you have any doubt then bow your head, receive Christ with a sincere heart and rejoice bro...
LOL and I am fed up with people ignoring the command of the Apostles to obey Acts 2:38..So Peter was not talking to Gentiles then why do you suggest that I a {gentile] obey 2:36?..lol..come on man..get real..
We must all obey Acts 2:38 to be saved!..this is the pattern throughout the Book of Acts..Acts 2...Acts 8....Acts 10 and finally...Acts 19..The Epistles were not written to tell people how to be saved..rather they were written to ALREADY saved people..lot of people do not realize this..Romans 10:9 is not the plan of salvation!
Sir..do you have to resort to cussing at me? Do I make you that angry? don't saiththelord nothing He would not use the language you use.acts 2:4-5..whats the context?..what was the scene? has nothing to do with me today..Acts is a book on HISTORY of what THEY did..not what I do..I have obeyed Acts 2:38 just as Peter commanded to all people.
I agree. It is frustrating to listen to evagelicals who claim they are "born again" and "saved" because they gave their life to Christ and said one simple phrase. It is all about accepting Christ in, and becoming like Him in all things.
I am saying that it is WAY more than just saying it. That is a cop out. It is living it, anyone can say that phrase. It is just words. Show me by living a Christ-like life, not by making statements. OnlyThe Scriptures is right, any smoking, drinking, rascist, misogynist can say those words. It doesn't make them true or change the world. The claim to being "saved" is an empty claim without making the changes and walking the walk.
@blueskunk12 I simply believed and repented of my sins and followed up by being baptized in Jesus name just like the Apostles commanded..Acts 2:38,8:16,10:48,19:1-6,Romans 6:3-4..
@blueskunk12 this is a typical argument from the exchanged life cult now emerging, that it is either completely grace, with no repentance, no acting on our part, no acceptance of an invitation..or the law...or..the other attack...that we are defending a doctrine of works...Galatians is talking about people trying to earn their way to heaven through obeying the law of Moses..not the same thing as saying we must ACCEPT the invitation by submitting to Christ in fear and love..and fruit emerges
No one is making that argument. The reason you think that is because you think in black and white. It must be one or the other.
The fruit that emerges is God's work in us, not anything that we do. Anything we do is like filthy rags.
Grace comes when we stop trying to reach up to God and let God reach down to us. As long as we keep trying to reach up, we are still rejecting Christ and trying to obey the law.
Interesting. God choose us, I agree with that. But what do you do with the scripture "He wills non shall perish, but all come to repentence" salvation is a choice, that separtes us from the angels. Calvanism is a very dangerous doctrine. You turn God into a respecter of men, which he clealry is not. Love to hear your thoughts God Bless
Hi,my computer went whacky~hope I don't dbl post.I have a couple of questions. #1Are you coming from a Calvinistic theological viewpoint?#2 Not to get all confused in semantics(tho it seems that is your point)~would you say it's wrong to say, "I surrendered my life to Christ for His."? I understand that without His life for mine I am toast...it's His life that let's me be righteous b4 God, because if I had to go b4 God with my pitiful and wretched works I'd be hell-bound.
I'm not coming from a Calvinistic or Arminian position on this. Just coming from what the Bible plainly teaches...that He came to give us life - His life. I think that to say I surrendered my life to Christ for His is the perfet description of salvation. I agree...works will condemn us. Grace brings us salvation. When we gave our life to Christ, He killed it (Gal 2:20, Rom 6:6, Col 3:3 and many others.) Salvation is receiving His life.
Thanks for clarifying. I couldnt find a whole lot about you on your channel.Sometimes I start watching and thinking...this is good, yeah, yeah...and then *BANG* some doctrine comes out from the shadows...muhahahahah... ;)
I know I've been analyzing and critiquing (trying to see where you are coming from), so I'll head over and see how you responded to my other comments. Please, I hope you don't take any personal offense. I'm here to learn and grow and share ~ comments are so limiting.
It only require ONE man....[18] Therefore as by the offence of one [judgment came] upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one [the free gift came] upon all men unto justification of life. (Rom 5:18 KJV).... NOT BY OUR WORKS.... JUST ONE MAN ... JESUS. Job 30:23 For I know [that] thou wilt bring me [to] death, and [to] the house appointed for all living.
Gulfguy - I agree there is no free pass for complete forgiveness of sins. The cost for God to "pass" on our sins was the crucifixion of Jesus - a tremendous cost. I too believe in discipline of God's children, but see it as an act of His love toward us not punishment for our sins. Justification before God means He has "put away our sins by the sacrifice of Himself."
Looking over many of your church lie videos, I noticed you forget one important element of God - his discipline. God will discipline his followers due to their actions; and although this will have no ramifications on salvation, it will have ramifications on our lives. I believe two Christians in the NT were even "taken early" by God for sinning. Basically, there is no free pass for sin, even under God's grace.
Are you speaking of Ananias and Saphira? What would make you think they were Christians taken early? They blasphemed the Holy Spirit and went to Hell as I read it. They were in the group who HAD TO endure until the end...we are sealed when we are saved as gentile believers, but they were under different circumstances than us.Those believers WILL BE saved (IF they endured) at the times of refreshing (check it out in scripture).
You believe we need to endure until the end? You think it is for us as it was for A&S? Why do you think we "get away" with so much, yet they didn't? Why were all those there at the time in so much FEAR? What do you think Jesus meant when he told us what a believer was?...able to handle serpents, drink poison, lay hands on the sick and heal them? How do you read those scriptures? Do you not take the words of God literally? I see why all that is, but love to know yours and anyone's take on it
there are other verses that talk about God taking believers early. I dont remember where, but Paul was talking about people who were taking the Lord's Supper in vain and with sin in their heart. And paul said that that is why many of you have fallen asleep. If you view God as your heavenly Father then prepare to be disciplined if you dont obey.
I do understand that if you belong to YHWH you will be disciplined. I'd just be interested in verses to back up your claim about God taking believers early.
That's too much ground for me to cover in 500 characters :) I take the words of God SERIOUSLY enough to ask when to understand them literally or not. Hermeneutics - rightly dividing the word. The Bible is indeed God's Word and shouldn't be approached superficially or carelessly (not to imply that you do), but we must study a passage within context. What did He say? When did He say it? To whom was He speaking? What was the historical context? These things do matter when it comes to understanding
Hmm...the way YouTube does comments it's hard to see which response you are replying to right now (it will straighten out, but for now it's the top reply and not in order). Anyway...what you said about what, when, to whom, context...YES! That's where I was coming from w/ A&S...anyway~ cheers!
If we examine John 15 we see that Jesus was speaking to His disciples. Though it is possible the triune Godhead calls us to Himself, it seems here that Jesus was speaking to His personal disciples, not making an overall statement. Just a thought...
@blueskunk12- you reject Christ when you fail to follow his ways- read John 17- those who love me will follow my ways

shanming716 5 months ago
@bigboy45454545 Just for the sake of arguement, let's say you're right: there is no God and nothing happens when you die. Well then for me as a follower of Christ (who is not imaginary btw) I lived a good life. I was healthy, didn't drink, smoke, do drugs. I was happily married to one man. And though I had difficult times I felt like I could rely on Someone you claim is imaginary to get me through them. And I go to my grave satisfied with my life.
shanming716 5 months ago
I only agree with this to a certain extent. Yes, we must receive Christ as he said. But as Paul said, he was crucified with Christ. We must make the decision to put our selfishness away and stop living for ourselves. That's what I believe "giving your life to Jesus" means. But of course the glory does not belong to us, it belongs to The Father.
shanming716 5 months ago
@shanming716 Once we have been saved then Jesus lives His life through us--if we try doing anything in the flesh and think we can do anything on our own or apart from Him we are fooling ourselves. We can't do it--we go to Him when we realize this and He does it in us and through us. The glory truly is His and not ours no matter what.
freelouie1 3 months ago
you actually started in truth and ended in error. john 15:16 is talking about his choosing of the APOSTLES. it is not talking about general salvation. the proof of that is that in john 6 Jesus also says "did i not choose you but one of you is a devil"? He also chose Judas the exact same way he chose peter. the difference was the response from the heart from peter verses Judas. this was before the new covenant was fully instituted so the rules of the law still applied.
hellbindercda 5 months ago

Learn from your poor behavior.
bigboy45454545 7 months ago
@bigboy45454545 - There's no magic in Christianity. Why are you on this video anyway? Please stop trolling and talking about things you cannot possible relate to. By the way, sin is not poor behavior. Sin is in your flesh whether you are good person or a bad person. Jesus is not a scapegoat, he is the lamb that took upon Himself the sins of the world. Wake up and educate yourself and stop trolling.
MartyJSwizzle 6 months ago
@MartyJSwizzle You say there's no magic in Christianity. Could you please explain God's magic sperm knocking up a virgin. Explain talking snakes and rib-women and fruit which gives people knowledge? Explain a magic flood and where the water came from and where it went? Explain water into wine and walking on water and how dead people come back to life? Your whole religion like all religion is based upon magic which stupid people never question. BTW a miracle is magic from your nonexistent Gods.
bigboy45454545 6 months ago
@bigboy45454545 – Gimme a break, God doesn't have magic sperm. The bible says that through the power (that’s God's power, not frigg'n magic) of the Holy Spirit that Mary conceived a child. God's power is by his will that things come into existence; magic is something that illusionists perform. In other words, magic doesn’t exist. Stop reading the bible.
MartyJSwizzle 6 months ago
@bigboy45454545 - There's no talking snakes found in the bible. However, there is a serpent (which is not a snake) who had the capability to speak to humans but it no longer spoke after God’s curse on it and it was only after God cursed the serpent that it became a snake and had to crawl on it belly and smell with its tongue (Jacobson’s Organ). Stop reading the bible.
MartyJSwizzle 6 months ago
@bigboy45454545 - There’s no magical fruit found in the bible. The fruit that Adam and Eve ate did not have any magical or special properties. The bible says it was because of their disobedience to God (sin) that they recognized that they were naked; the fruit was only a vehicle (a means) that caused Adam and Eve to sin. In other words, Satan (the serpent) used the fruit to cause them to sin.
MartyJSwizzle 6 months ago
@bigboy45454545 - What’s wrong with God creating a woman from Adam’s rib? If God can create the world and everything in it, can He not create a woman from Adam’s rib? Look at what evolutionists believe how we got here; we were a single cell, then a multi-cell, then a bacteria, then a fish, then somehow we found each other, get married and had kids…..right. That sounds like a fairy-tale to me.
MartyJSwizzle 6 months ago
@bigboy45454545 - The flood was not magic, the bible says that the water came from beneath the earths crust and when earth burst open the oceans formed underneath the water and then the water ran into it forming the oceans we have now. Why is that so hard to conceive? Read the bible, in the beginning, the earth was first made of water and then land formed on top. Thus, the water was already here before the flood.
MartyJSwizzle 6 months ago
@bigboy45454545 - Honestly, I can’t fully explain the power of God, it is much greater than you or I can understand. But, I do know it’s not magic because the bible says that magic doesn’t exist.
The bible says that God’s power is the source of all strength (1 Chr. 29:12; Psa. 68:35), is exemplified in the creation (Psa. 102:25; Jer. 10:12) & establishing and governing all things (Psa. 65:6; 66:7). You call it magic, I call it science.
MartyJSwizzle 6 months ago
@bigboy45454545 - Look, you don’t have to believe it or agree with it but don’t mock it. I don’t mock things that I don’t believe in, why should you? The only reason for mocking something you don’t believe in because you actually have some sort of hatred or anger that you are harboring; you may not be honest enough to admit it but something about this irks you. Let it go and move on Mr. troll.

Religion is for retards.
bigboy45454545 6 months ago
@MartyJSwizzle Please go back to my previous comment and explain how the "magic" in your religion works? You're a shallow thinking person who needs to question reality a good bit more. Why don't we see magic of the Gods anymore? The answer is that your religion is pure horse-shit and you know it. Santa Claus isn't real either. Why don't you have a problem with this reality?
bigboy45454545 6 months ago

Ecclesiastes 12:13 "fear God and keep his commandments for this is the whole duty of man"
deathknight228 10 months ago
@deathknight228 You can'rt keep all of the commandments, Jesus went beyond the act to the thought-life.
The standard of perfection is God himself. Jesus had to come and give us his righteousness and save us from our sins. You are not keeping the law, the Holy Spirit is keeping you by the sheer grace of God through faith if you're redeemed. God gives faith grace and the will to do his good pleasure.
All have sinned and come short. Gal. 2:21 If righteous comes by the law, Christ died in vain.
NotFlaking 8 months ago

@romania1977

No, every person without exception is NOT elect to salvation. And men dont elect themselves, it is God who has elected a people before the creation of the world!
The scripture you quoted is talking specifically to the churches, not generally to all mankind.
Read the context.
Rev 3:19

Be zealous, then, and repent...

Spirit says to the assemblies.

Lysimachus78 2 years ago
@Lysimachus78 amen......His grace, His love embodied in the cross is the invitation we can never earn, but one He requires we accept...this acceptance is a submission to Christ...we do not die completely in this earth until we have our flesh removed...our flesh is still in sin..our spiritual self lives in Christ...when we choose sin, we choose flesh, when we choose Christ we choose the Spirit....why did Paul say we had to be free of our fleshly bodies to enter heaven?

I have a peace that's unexplainable. No man gave it to me and no man can take it away. I didn't ever feel this kind of peace when I was in Christianity NEVER! It was aways a temporary peace. This peace is still.

bro this is circular logic, I agree that we need to except God's gift and not givve ourselves the credit, but you are just trying to pick of fight with anything you can find by misjudging the words, but if we are to be crucified with Christ, we also need to give our life over to his control, we are not responsible for salvation, but we can be responsible for resisting it.

I agree. It is frustrating to listen to evagelicals who claim they are "born again" and "saved" because they gave their life to Christ and said one simple phrase. It is all about accepting Christ in, and becoming like Him in all things.
azwoogie 3 years ago
If accepting Christ mean you can still cuss and smoke cigarettes and drink..I would run from that doctrine..

@OnlyTheScriptures
Here are some Scriptures for you to consider.
Romans 3:20
No one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law.
Galatians 2:21
I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!
Galatians 3:2
Did you receive the Spirit by observing the law, or by believing what you heard?
Galatians 5:4
You who are trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.
blueskunk12 1 year ago
@blueskunk12 I simply believed and repented of my sins and followed up by being baptized in Jesus name just like the Apostles commanded..Acts 2:38,8:16,10:48,19:1-6,Romans 6:3-4..
OnlyTheScriptures 1 year ago
@blueskunk12 this is a typical argument from the exchanged life cult now emerging, that it is either completely grace, with no repentance, no acting on our part, no acceptance of an invitation..or the law...or..the other attack...that we are defending a doctrine of works...Galatians is talking about people trying to earn their way to heaven through obeying the law of Moses..not the same thing as saying we must ACCEPT the invitation by submitting to Christ in fear and love..and fruit emerges
paulgcollier 3 months ago
@paulgcollier

I have checked it out and respectfully disagree with you :)

I see why all that is, but love to know yours and anyone's take on it
Isaiah6twothrueight 3 years ago
there are other verses that talk about God taking believers early. I dont remember where, but Paul was talking about people who were taking the Lord's Supper in vain and with sin in their heart. And paul said that that is why many of you have fallen asleep. If you view God as your heavenly Father then prepare to be disciplined if you dont obey.
Guffguy 3 years ago
