God will for sure continue His work & I personally believe most if not all those girls I'll see in heaven! It wasn't a perfect conversation, but they really did recieve all the info they needed to solidify their decision--if not verbally, by the info they took with them (two at least were EXCITED to read). Finally yes, it's not by works lest any should boast--Jesus' sacrifice we could never even begin to earn-See my comments PartOne of film. But why does repentance always come first in Scripture?
Post 4- But it's God Who should really give them assurance of salvation. The Spirit Himself bears witness to our spirit that we're His children (Romans 8:15-17) and His Word says to test yourself to see if you're in the faith--Or do you not know that Jesus is IN you? (2 Cor 13:5) I hate to say this, but SO MANY are utterly lost now because they trusted a person who told them they were now saved-guaranteed!-and didn't read what the Word of God said about it. So very dangerous to do prematurely.
I actually did continue talking with two of them after the filming finished. They were WRESTLING over the decision. But I definitely gave them plenty of materials and information that they could say that prayer at home. But there's no Biblical such thing as salvation without repentance, and pushing people prematurely into the prayer is majorly dangerous--ESPECIALLY if you then give them the assurance they're now saved! Yes they can know--most assuredly--but it's God...
Confess with your mouth & believe in your heart--That means more than just saying the words. And confessing Jesus as LORD means more than just acknowledging He's God (over, say, Buddha)--it means you've made Him your LORD (Lord=Master). I sometimes do overfocus on repentance a bit--But it's BECAUSE that's the missing component of America's fallen church world. And it's a heavy decision for many individuals ("Multitudes in the Valley of decision" Joel 3:14)
Dear Treechoppa, thanks for your comments & please see my reply under Part One of this film. Did you watch all of Part One? They all already believed in Jesus and His sacrifice. But only one of them it seemed was for sure saved. I'll bet you at least two of the others had "Said the Sinner's Prayer" before. Think about how many in churches have said that prayer--been TOLD THEY'RE SAVED--and actually aren't? Billy Graham said he had only about a 10% rate of perseverance even after that prayer?
I am very bothered by her not asking any of them if they wanted to accept jesus as they're lord and saviour. And that they can in fact know for sure if they will go to heaven
God bless!!!
