When you really think of it, we know absolutely nothing about what Holy is. What He allows us to see of Him is so small yet so consuming. Because we are flawed humans, we cannot stand in the complete presence of a Holy God. What a day of rejoicing when we are able to walk completely and fully into His presence. Second thoughts, What I like about this song is that it is a love song which raises earth unto heaven and speaks through earth to heaven. It speaks to earth in a love song of any lover and his or her beloved, but at the same time transends the earth (lover) without destroying or leaving beind that earth by seeing or looking to see holy in the lover. The lover becomes a vehicle of love towards that outward holy which transends both.

I am not a fan of Contemporary Christian music, but I can make an exception for this song and its performance. It a captures passion and presses itself against passions boundries trying to transend itself outward towards an unknown experience of that which the performers call holy. It attempts to raise earth to heaven by assent.

The artist returns to herself again with the same question, knowing her ignorance. Still I think the song is more Theosophical than Christian

I'm sure this song speaks to a lot of people, but as a new believer the song really speaks to me. At times we all make him to small and focus on ourselves instead  of all the gracious and glorious things of god. We confess with our mouths, but if it's not in our hearts it is just wasted breath.

I love this song too but its INCREDIBLY convicting! I looked into my mirror after I got done listening to this song and I looked like I had seen a ghost! i was literally white! can anyone help me? i guess I thought I knew God too but now...i guess I'm not that sure...
