really impressed at his defense...especially pick and roll, where nash and the suns killed the spurs in the playoffs... Duncan used to be able to move that way, now he cant but tiago brings that aspect back to the team...defense has been the spurs bread and butter...the hands thing worries me, you have to secure rebounds especially against people like dwight and gasol

Also look at james andersons videos, this guy has great range and knocked jumper after jumper down while 2-3 guys guarding him everytime. As said by dicky v he was the steal of the draft. go spurs go!

he moves very well without the ball, seems very skilled and hustles. He and timmy in the post, that will be interesting. No doubt about it he will make the spurs a better team instantly. hill,anderson,blair, splitter, neal the spurs are rebuilding on the fly, most teams can't do that. Gotta love RC buford,one of the best gm's out there. I also think RJ will be better this year,he seemed to get more comfortable as the year goes on. Neal and Anderson have great range.

And he's not that young, he's 25. He is what he is as a player, don't expect him to improve a lot in the comming years.

I think splitter fits more into a team like Paul Gasol fits with the lakers...I believe once he can develop a great offensive rebounding habit, he will give that Spurs the extra possession they need for a clutch shot from Manu, or Jefferson on the outside..I remember watching the Spurs vs Mavs series in playoffs, and Duncan was overwhelmed with hereford and Nowitski trying to guard them with little help from McDyess or Bonner who had no fast foor comparison to Splitter....GREAT pick for da spurs

Like Gasol? No way man. I know him pretty well and he's low post skills are miles behind Gasol's. Splitter's has no shot (low or mid range), he's hook shot is awfull. He's very good finishing strong at the rim and receiving pick'n rolls, but that's it for his scoring ability. He's passing is what stands out on offense. But he's excelent on defense and has a huge heart, he's a true warrior. I'm sure he'll fit well on Spurs, but don't expect him to carry the team on offense.
