I like your tutorials but this one did not help me. I'm working with a Dreamweaver HTML page 2 column fixed with header and footer and I've made my navigation rollovers in Fireworks as slices with 2 states, but none of it will insert correctly when I try to bring it in. I created a div-id ' navigation ... and Fireworks keeps creating a table when it brings in my 12 buttons so nothing works right! Can you help explain any of this???
@DreamWeaverTutorial . I'm rather new at this and don't even know how to send private messages thru youtube, Sorry. BUT -- I do really want to thank you so much for your reply. I was up all night with this, getting more and more frustrated and finally trashed all of the work I had done and started over fresh and made each button one at a time and inserted them one-at-a-time as a rollover button and not as a scripted or exported HTML and images nav bar. (deep sigh)
Good tutorials but how I wish you didn't have to deafen us before it starts - is that really necessary, you have our undivided attention as it is! Thank you for everything but my perforated eardrums!
Thanks for the tutorial, great work!
P.S.
What program do you use for screen capturing?

This technique is waayyyy too complicated.
Here is an easier way...
You could just have different versions of the text on the same image.
You place it as a background for your links.
Then you use CSS to change the position of the image when someone hovers their mouse over it, or clicks on it
For example
a.links {background-position: top left; }
a.hover { background-position: 0 -270px}
a.currenthover {background-position: top right}
