Thou shalt not kill...did you all forget about that...life is still life...God makes it simple and says for us to not kill...abortion equals murder because it ends the life of the unborn
No matter where one stands on the issue of Life/Choice, I'm sure that we all can agree that the "Right to Choose" does NOT fall into the category of "Equal Rights."
The "Right to Choose" is about as UNEQUAL as it gets as far as rights go.
do you think abrahams god really gives a shit about abortion? besides that there is only on bible verse that even comes close to taouching on the subject; Exodus 21: 22-25(which make it a civil matter, not the atrocity xians make it out to be). god has no problem with infanticide, genocide, or human sacrifice.
@fuctanyway Why are you telling me what God thinks when you don't even believe in him, functsatawney? Saying there is no such thing as an unborn child is just a religious belief of the religion of Atheism.
Archie Bunker said it best. Faith is believing in something that nobody in their right mind would ever believe under normal circumstance. Faithfully believing that you never existed in your mother's womb is certainly at the top of that list of insane religious beliefs.
@ObamAtheist i, like many atheists, am very much bible literate. reading the bible beginning to end was when i first realized i was a skeptic. a book full of impossible unbelievable stories that depict an evil god that loves us. a god that has been neither good or benevolent in the book. a loving omnipotent god and all he came up with for his last trick was to let a bunch of newborns slaughtered so his only son could get beaten and crucified? i wouldn't even have respect for such a beast.
@ObamAtheist as for abortion. why do xians make it sound like it's some kind of heathen sport? nobody should take abortion lightly, it is always a tough decision but sometimes it is the right one. abortion is NOT birth control and those who use it as such need counseling. equally important is proper sex ed. the condom, one of the greatest inventions in preventative medicine ever invented.it's iresponsable and stupid, on so many levels, not to teach this to our kids.
@ObamAtheist Atheism is not a religion, think about it:
What deities do we worship? How do we pray? What religious holidays do we as Atheists hold dear and are protected by the government? What religious traditions or sacraments do we utilize in our everyday existence?
Clearly you know more about Atheism than I do, despite the fact I grew out of my Christian phase almost 14 years ago.
And no where in the prior comment was mentioned that they did not believe they existed in the mothers womb.
Both you and your love interest (Howard Stern) are EXACTLY 100% SCIENTIFICALLY WRONG when you udder that erroneous statement. Abortion is always fatal. Think, man, think!
Actually abortion DOES saves the lives of the mother in cases of cancer, heart disease, diabetes, certain std's, Auto-immune disorders etc.
But what would I know? I was only a HM3 in the United States Navy where I saw first hand (even in the civilian sector) just how that process effectively saves the life of the mother.
Why would anyone in their right mind allow the baby to be born in those circumstances in critical condition and jeopardize the health of the mother as well?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
For every abortion that occurs, there are two or more natural miscarriages from women who really want their baby. How do you explain this? Is God unable to heal a woman's womb so she doesn't miscarry? Or does God just not care?
I am not blaming God for miscarriages, they are natural occurances. I do have to wonder why God is so furious about human caused abortions, but shrugs his shoulders when it comes to the many more natural abortions.
willgarrow: I do have to wonder why God is so furious about human caused abortions, but shrugs his shoulders when it comes to the many more natural abortions.
Kinda like why God is so furious about VEHICULAR HOMICIDE, but shrugs his shoulders when it comes to the many more ACCIDENTAL HIGHWAY FATALITIES.
Or why God is so furious about the LIBERAL CULT NUT JIM JONES POISONINGS, but shrugs his shoulders when it comes to the many more ACCIDENTAL FOOD POISONINGS.
@ObamAtheist I personally grieve over both vehicular homicides AND accidental ones. If I could stop anyone of them, I would in a second. But I can't. Just like I suspect God can't.
I am not an Obama fan. That is the poster of this video.
I simply made the point that God is either unwilling or unable to stop miscarriages. The only answers I get is that the world is saturated with death and suffering, like that is supposed to make me feel better.
To address your point: I think lions kill gazelles because that is what they naturally evolved to do. They did not grow fangs and start to hunt because Adam ate a piece of fruit.
@ObamAtheist I'm confused, are you an atheist or not. Because you're making atheistic points for us in some comments, and then spewing out conservative propaganda.
Are you Pro-Life, willgarrow? To what religion did you switch?
The Official Atheistic Religion REQUIRES (as part of its Atheistic Creed & Official Deep Held Beliefs) that all new Atheistic Converts actively DISBELIEVE in the scientific existence of INDIVIDUAL UNBORN CHILDREN in their mothers' wombs.
That means you can no longer believe you were EVER inside your own mother's womb without violating the Religion of Atheists.
I'm glad I don't have a scientifically ridiculous belief such as that.
ObamAtheist, this is so ludicrous I shouldn't even respond. The only thing that unites atheist is a non-belief in God. There is no religion and no creed. There are perhaps 10,000 gods being worshiped in the world today. Most people reject 9,999 of those 10,000 gods, atheist simply reject all 10,000. There's not much difference.
All Atheists REJECT scientific Human Fetal Biology findings & replace those findings with Atheistic Fetal Philosophical beliefs (which basically equate the miraculous ability of a woman to bring forth a unique, living human individual into the world to the simple act of taking a shit)...
You're all on the same page of your unwritten Atheistic bible (which will eventually be formed from the various, already-published books written by your Atheistic scribes)...
@ObamAtheist Um, I asked you for sources that back up your evidence. You have no given me solid facts; just your opinion. Have you talked to EVERY atheist in this world? There are billions of atheists alive today.
@ObamAtheist Wow, that's stupid. I've been atheist all my life and I've never heard of any "official atheist religion". Please tell me your source for this information.
All Atheists are in 100% total sync about the "belief" that there is no such thing as an unborn child (despite the overwhelming scientific evidence).
When a whole group of people that call themselves Atheists buys into the ridiculous belief that they were NEVER inside their mothers' wombs during their entire HUMAN existence, then you have a whacko religious creed going. Sorry....
@ObamAtheist I've met pro-life atheists, and pro choice christians. we just all reject the ludacris notion that we were magically designed perfectly, and then a talking snake f---ed it up
@arachnophile01 The ratio of pro-life to pro-choice is grossly uneven when comparing those 2 communities (Atheists and Christians). Mirror images really.
So, wait, is the user an Obama theist? In other words, an Obama supporter that believes in a God? Or perhaps someone who believes that Obama is a God? The first option sounds great, I'm not sure if I agree with the second.
After having enjoyed the acclaimed & pro-life movie Bella (which, btw to jase below, was well acted), I think I'll give this one a try...a shot of something positive in the world.
I don't care that the film is some lame attempt at Christian propaganda, that's fine - but it doesn't change the fact that the production value looks and sounds like crap. Have you seen the trailer - when the actors attempt to cry - LORDY IT'S BAD! The voice over to the trailer is so corny, it sounds like I'm watching one of those really bad student films.
jase, no, I didn't see the trailer, but just the longer "Behind the Scenes" vid I mentioned, but there was a crying scene in that & it didn't seem bad...just like regular crying to me. I'll check out the trailer. To be fair, I am so not into preachy Christian vids, if a doctrinal message is conveyed in a Christian movie without being pedantic, love it, but if it's forced, I grown. The Moment After (original, *not* the sequel), w/ David White (this movie's producer) is example of one I loved.
jase, that's so not fair of a comment, there's hardly enough of a clip to judge from this FOX interview. But when I went over to see the "Behind the Scenes" video, I saw more clips, the acting seemed good and I noticed that David White was producing, so for that reason alone I'd personally see it.

What? Are you saying God doesn't stop lions from killing gazelles for food because he can't?
Your evidence that God doesn't exist is the fact that fatal avalanches DO exist? That life on earth is NOT Heavenly perfect?
At least you have faith that Obama can change all of that.
Obama's gonna change the world.
