  • Notch would be impressed.

  • gee, i never knew the mind of LBP2 was so...unique....

  • Lol "LittleBigBang" :D MM are truly GODS

  • i never really appreciated how beautiful this music is it brings back so many memories of lbp1 and how much and how fars it has come since then

  • Such a bunch of code and assets! [mode="freetard"] Which we will never be able to freely modify and redistribute. [/mode]

  • Very nice.

  • Sooooo preeeeeeetty!

  • In Mm studios they pay their employees whit little dots ;)

  • That's amazing how they created lbp2! EVERYTHING STARTED IN 2009! Amazing!

  • @xXDoomMonkeyXx i thought it was 2008... well, at least it started, it is incredibly awesome, and they aren't finished yet!

  • HMMM... how to play this song on the piano... hmmm... WWell, I'll figure it out some day :D

  • Actually a pretty neat song if you ask me.

  • Hello Guys Are You Gonna Make LPB 3 Or Not Im A Big Fan

  • @DuttyDeville What would they put in it? Honestly now. I'm amazed they got as far as they did with the second one.

  • 1:43 you KNOW that guy in the bottom left didnt get any sleep that whole week LOL

MediaMolecule 4 ever! One of the best devs in the history of gaming!

  • MediaMolecule! I want a earlyer version of littlebigplanet 2. The version gevurah22 was using in his beta videos, like the one in his how to make a ufo video. But im saddly sure that version has been discarded of.

  • this is creepy

  • such a shame you're leaving LBP to work on new things :(

but I'm British too and I know you'll do the right thing and create bigger and better games for the PS3!

  • Happy Birthday, Amy! :)

  • do the robot ~.~...

  • Thumbs Up if you think Media Molecule should give this interactive music on LBP2's Birthday :D That would be awesummmmmmmmmmm

  • @leeardamer that would be awesome.

  • @TheFabricOfTime THE AWESOMEST!!!!1 :D

  • This is awesome. Hard to imagine that many files whizzing about the Mm offices :)

  • Very Interesting :)

  • i like the my moon music

  • WOW

  • theres no 3:06 D:

  • I can imagine there being words to this music.

  • After reading the description I feel like I'm just taking up space when I build levels for some weird reason.

  • Looks like hard work with all that coding. When did you actually begin the project?

  • In case anyone can't figure out why it all stops for a few seconds around 1:17, there's a tiny little date thing in the corner: it was Christmas/New Years!

  • nice music

  • the music is beautiful and awesome

  • This is beautiful.

  • @haitianxu @ahmedp800

Not necessarily: Some people get to create a lot of files indirectly (e.g. automatic intermediate description files for content and the like), some have to fix increadibly hard to fix bugs that sometimes take a week of work and then e.g. all it took was adding six characters to make it work (like initializing a variable). So, don't take this as a representation of the amount of work that each person put into the game.

At least in my experience. ;^)

PS: I don't work at MM.

  • Read the god damn description if you don't understand it -_-.

  • I see some incredibly hard working staffs...and some slackers!

  • THis is shit.

  • @Kamikaze933 Make something better u idiot. Fuckin hater.

  • the remix of the LBP1 pod music reminds me of fancy pants adventures...

  • One guy is overloaded.

Another guy is not doing much...you need to replace him :p

    Nice vid

  • This music is brilliant !!!!! Serious !!!!

  • I love how there is a climax at the end! Amazing visualisation!

  • Wow, you became very active in the end. :)

  • Not as interesting to watch as I thought it world be. LB2 it's still the shit tho.

  • what?

  • press F13, if you looked thumb up.

  • @NassassiN10 My keyboard actually has an F13 key. My keyboard is the Apple Wired keyboard with Number Pad.

  • hmm... I wonder how Team Bondi will looks like in this...

  • @Juggernaughty824 About ten times the amount of people, but instead of code swarms they throw arguments and depression.

  • Did someone mentioned the actual "codeswarm" opensource project yet ? I bet Media Molecule used some hack based on this.

  • @wolfthing11 why?

  • Very nice. Loving the raw compiles.

  • @Morbicus I wonder why...

  • Not good.

  • bad

  • the song brings back memorys

  • What the hell is this? I kept waiting for something to happen and then it didn't. And it's not visually interesting either. But it gets thumbs up from everyone simply for being in LBP2, which is the home of not very well realised imitations.

  • @DSDMovies You'd understand if you read the description :D

  • what is this????

  • i love pauls code

  • i miss lbp1 musics :o

  • @miasakii why do you miss it?? there in the 2nd one also

  • people still play the PS3? amazing.

  • @LidsAreFun People still waste time trolling?

    Not surprising.

  • @LidsAreFun After so many great PS3 exclusives, people still own xbox 360? so dumb.

  • I wish this song wasn'y remixed in LBP 2 and stayed the same :)

  • its just an artistic representation.

  • I don't even...

  • Anyone noticed the date is changing on bottom right corner?

  • @hharjot90

lol takin that long to render all those particles

  • Sounds like a different version of the pod theme

  • @fudgelovinhippy That's because it is. well done, gold star

  • @LidsAreFun I commented before looking in the video information, it says "Edited Version of Kenny's Pod Theme". Still I laughed at your sarcastic comment!

  • LOVE YOU MediaMolecule. jk but you guyshad made my lifeway more interesting. Thank you guys at Mm. hope you guys had alot of fun besides all that hard work.

  • The guy at 1:43-1:44 made a lot :OO

  • I found a glitch on lbp2!

when your playing a tutorial and someone invites you to join them, if there in create and you join them then the game will still act like its in the tutorial and you cant use any tools except the ones in the tutorial you were playing. then when you open it up, the game freezes!

    pls fix this MM :)

  • I like the soundtrack , soooooOooooo much

  • i'm wondering how much players of LBP2 there are...

  • Wow, this really makes you appreciate how much work goes into creating video games.

  • it would be cool to have something like this for tracking public editable levels and see who is making changes to them like see who makes copys of a level them edits it how much in the same way you did this for your selves!!!

  • what software are you using to do this? or is is something you guys made?

  • PLEASE ASNWER HOW CAN I GET A COPY OF THIS REMIX BY KEN I REEEALLY WANT IT

  • Mario galaxy music?

  • Does anyone else think this looks like its a fun game?

  • 0:55

    Anton did a Texture-spam!

  • Ahh LBP1 pod music... So retro XD

  • This looks like a representation of population drift in genetics. Badass!

  • That made no sense at all to me :S

  • You guys are the best developers out there.

  • There's a legend on the top right.

Each particle has a color and the particles move around according to what color they are to show who did what at what time and for how long.

  • @Ultrasonic23 That would be the top left, but good job.

  • That is amazing :)

  • what is thing i dont under stand ?`???? please telle me :)

  • "This video shows the creation and editing over time of all the code and content in LittleBigPlanet 2. It doesn't go right back to the beginning of the project - it starts from the point this "branch" of the game was created within our source control repository."

  • This just makes me miss LBP1's Pod theme. I'll see if I can go pick up a download someplace, and then use it in LBP2.

  • Is each pixel like a code the person type in because there are peoples names who work there

  • You know what that looks like to me? A Media Molecule.

  • wow so many codes!

  • i dont get it

  • i like pie :3

  • The stars are bits of code that need to be fixed or added, the fade away once complete I think.

  • I think this is what bee-keepers see when they shut their eyes at night.

  • How does a bunch of dancing stars represent coding? I'm very confused...

  • @furonguy42 The legend is in the top left corner and the timestamp is in the bottom right corner. It shows who was doing what and when. ;)

  • @furonguy42 Each star represents a file in the game. The icon that a star gravitates towards edited that file. So if dave edits a file, that file's star falls towards the dave icon. Editing levels means a bunch of tiny file changes, so when you see the huge bursts of stars around someone, they probably edited or made a level. Stars fade out after a few days of not being edited.

It's a nice visualization for a creative process, if I do say so myself. :3

  • @furonguy42 each persons workload is represented by the colours

  • @furonguy42 First, read the description. Basically, each little "dancing star" is a file, like a script, image, 3D model, or music file. The each color is a different kind of file, such as an .mp3, .bat, script, 3D model, or anything like that. Every time a person would create a new file, it appears in the blackness and gravitates to them. A file being edited by a person is hovering by the person.

  • @furonguy42 READ THE DESCRIPTION

  • @digidude11 I did, but still didn't understand, that's why I commented.

  • @digidude11 *and the description has been updated since I made that comment...

  • @furonguy42 I'm assuming its who thought up what, who made what and then what they did with it, eg of they have it to someone.

  • @furonguy42 Read the description. Each glowing dot represents a file, the colour of the dot represents file type, and each one gravitates towards the person who created it.

  • @furonguy42 It does not. This is a visualization of the version control. It contains, as explained in the description, a portion of the source code and media assets / content of the game. So, it is not about programming, but who committed how many and what type of files on what day; think of it as a kind of timeline. In short: Just having fun with computers, that's all. :^)

  • @furonguy42 Read the description?!

  • For some reason I feel sleepy...

  • Oh my god let me buy this freakin' music already!

    Nice vid :)

  • It's the coding that they did for LittleBigPlanet 2. For you guys who don't get it. :P

  • I just like this for the music :)

This should keep me sain, while waiting for my ps3 to get fixed or replaced :/

  • @saxon161 the music is LBP1 pod menu music if you were wondering :P

  • Brilliant.

  • It seems like paul is doing the most things of lbp?

  • is this like a kind of credits ?

  • Very nice idea.

  • This reminds me of dust
