okay i've heard that the esbats also include the new moon, waning moon, and waxing moon, not just the full moon. is this true? it varies in difference resources, although i'm leaning more towards it just being full moons... help?
@RavenkellSamhainrain That's pefectly fine. In most traditions it's only the full moon. What I do is I do one one the full moon and another on the Dark moon (which if I remember correctly is about 3 to 2 before the moon starts waxing again). Everyone has their own preferences (sp?) and the Goddess will still love and protect even if you choose to only celebrate full moons. I hope this helps you :)!
You can do so much more. Being Wiccan is a state of mind, not just performing beliefs. Use a sauce pot instead of cauldron, use spices in spice bottles instead of large jars. Take long walks alone, and carry burning incense while you chant or rehearse spells. One day your situation will change and you will have the confidance to be yourself. Blessed Be
im in a difficult situation right now and because these situations i can't do things like a spell or a ritual i just chant the name of the godess at night and the gods name in day these are basicly the only thing i can do
bein eclectic is easier. each person has such different ideas about how things should b done or said. when I do my meditations by myself, it means more to me
Will anyone join me on an online spell? Think friendly thoughts to all living beings for a few minutes a day, or longer if you can. This should break down the barriers of ignorance and superstition about Wicca and magic.
If all those aspiring to magic or the old religion think friendly thoughts to all mankind at noon together, just for a few minutes, perhaps the fear, prejudice and ignorance will melt, to some extent, everywhere.
People fear what they dont understand. But if they are not trying to understand it then thats them. Its about spritual growth and the earth the sky the grass the trees its about everything.
Merry Meet my Dear, I have been a practicing Pagan for 46 years. I think what you do here is wonderful. Keep up the good work. I myself teach a Study Group here in Pa and I believe we need to inform all the new interest folks with the correct info. Brightests Blessings Lady Nyteshade
wicca and witchcraft are 2 different things. witchcraft is using spells and stuff, and wicca is an religion, tho most wiccans also use witchcraft, but using witchcraft doesnt make you wiccan
I really think you have a great point. what people are missing is that Wicca is the worship of nature, and how we are all interconnected with the whole universe, its not about having magical powers,
you're a fluffbunny when you turn into wicca, just to turn you're self off from other people or from authority, and not because you feel like an wicca.
Lol... I know you are just trollin' for fun. However, considering that even christian scholars cannot prove that Jesus christ ever lived (and have even stated there is no actual record of him besides the made up book called "the bible"), I doubt he will mind that Christmas originally belonged to the pagans. :)
an eclectic witch is someone who doesnt follow one wiccan tradition but (like myself) look at multiple traditions and see what aspects feel right to them and then follow those traditional aspects and ignore the parts which dont feel right
To some people, this may confusing. But there are three aspects to the goddess:Maiden,Mother, and Crone.
Wiccans can worship her as those three just like Christians worship Father,Son, and Holy Spirit. Or a Wiccan can choose to work with a specific deity such a Diana or Cerridwen.
I hope this answers your question. But it depends on the witch with who their patron goddess is.
Not quite. The Lady's name is oathbound and must be the Lady of the British Isles. So one who is not truly of the Wica can not know the true name of the Goddess.
That is because Gardner invented Wica. Came up with it, founded the religion. Therefore only he and his descendants know the true name of the Lord and Lady. Wica is a SPECIFIC religion with SPECIFIC gods and goddesses. Everything else is just eclectic paganism.
There is a song and information I looked up about the burning times and they both said 9 million European wommen died. The song is called "The Burning TImes". Maby RavenWolf is right.
During the 'Burning Times' it was not Wiccans or Pagans who were killed but Christians who had run afoul of their neighbors or were different in some way. Still tragic of course.
This goddess can be honored in many forms. It all varies in which type of deity you connect with most, whether it be Egyptian, Greek, Roman, or even a symbol of nature. I hope this helps.
Thanx so much your videos are really informative and interesting to watch. Although they may be sometimes a little hard to follow, I always learn something new each time. I would recommend them to anyone who is a novice.
omg. my friends and i have made our covent and we actually practiced on full moons. ...we are actually practicing on summer/winter solstics too. Since those are powerful times too. ^_^
Caroline, your videos are easy to follow and informative. There are things that I did not realize about some of the Wicca practices which I found most interesting. I especially liked learning about the Morgan who would take care of problems for you, rather than you having to personally cast a spell on them, that I would be most interested in exploring further. Thank you for your videos.
LorraineCamilleri, I don't remember which of her videos talked about the Morgan, I would suggest just looking through them until you come across that particular one..sorry could be more specific...

wait, so Witchcraft has no moral code or gods? its just these rituals and "magik" holidays? but wicca has a moral code and two deities? *confused*
Please help me!
(i really dont know! i no nothing of the Witchcraft of Wicca!)
MoonRiseWolf 1 year ago
@MoonRiseWolf
Witchcraft does not have moral code, form of punishment, or that such
That is something by the individual, not Witchcraft itself.
Wicca =/= Witchcraft.

Silver ravenwolfe can't even write correct information!
Eg
She thinks millions of people died in the burning times
When only around 100-1000 died
And most were drowned

The "Burning Times" have little to do with today.
Or Wicca for that matter.
The core practices are the same however: the names of the God/dess, the initiation rites, et cetera.
