I tried using ice a while ago when experimenting with a rough puff pastry recipe, but didn't keep at it. I now use icy cold water.
My recipe was pretty much what you're using. Equal flour and butter and half water.
I'll try your method now. Thanks so much!
I use bread (strong flour) in this recipe.
I'm working on a reduced fat recipe for Rough Puff Pastry at the moment.
