@billybob91675 No practice pad. If you are wondering how I got that "thuddy" sound, I did it by tuning 1 of the lugs really loose. Made it sound nice and dead for that particular sound.

Very good. How did you edit the video to get the different takes to appear as one?

@rhythmantic I took each video shot and layered them on top of each other. Then I erased the area I didnt need from the top "layer". It's call "masking". I use Sony Vegas for my video software,

@TheFeelToKill13 If you mean the "head" or the "skin" that gets hit with the stick, there is a difference between the white ones (coated) and the clear ones (un-coated). There are MANY opinions on which is better. For me, I prefer the big "wet" sound of a clear drum head. The coated heads give more mid-range in the sound and that can be good if the drummer is playing live and has no microphones on the drums. I prefer clear on toms and coated on the snare drum.

I think I need to find a new drum set. The chrome makes it really hard to video with the lights. Way too much reflection. I had to use tape on the side of the mounted tom.
