Its up to them but does everyone want to know the reality of all this? The Beast is on the road bringing the best heavy metal known to man to many a new fan, but it smells of money to me. I guess as much as they do enjoy entertaining their fan base they have earned the right to do the other thing they got into the music business for and thats make money. Congrats to the boys for their recent grammy and you are the best live band the world has ever seen.
Not a chance...they are far too relevant and they're arguably the world's most beloved band....they transcend all borders...I fear worldwide revolts if they ever announced retirement...besides, I've heard them say that they'll only stop in the event a death...although Steve did say way back that 15 studio albums was enough, but I'd argue for a "sweet sixteenth!" On the other hand, if they do decide to retire soon, I must say that my life has been enriched by their music. UP THE IRONS!

For this tour Maiden should have ALL Eddie's Through The Years come out on stage --a different Eddie for each song. A Piece of Mind Eddie comes on stage for when they play The Trooper, a Somewhere In Time Eddie comes out when they play Wasted Years, etc. That would be an AWESOME concept for The Final Frontier Tour!

i think there will be another tour after Final Frontier is released because only 1 of the 10 new song are being played on this tour that they are on currently, so of course there will be more at least one, and hopefully more DVD's on the bands history

Iron maiden has done an amazing job doing these tours and i would like to thank them for that. The music they do is absolutely fantastic, I couldn't live without them. I think this might be the end for maiden but the spirit will stay in our hearts.
@master6of6omens6 Last I heard was an interview with Bruce in which he said they're planning to do the summer tour (which they are doing as we speak), then a proper album tour when the album is out. Then possibly take a year or so out, do another tour of the classics, then he seemed to imply that that would be the end (sometime in 2013). So yeah, a few more tours left in 'em yet, hopefully!

Either way this is gonna be their last tour/album or not, they're gods, the best bend ever-always have been and will remain. Also I think they still got a lot of inspiration and will in them to stay active for some more time. UP THE IRONS! :) \m/

They've been at it for years. If they do qit touring now then I know they'll have retired doing an amazing job and setting a standard all metal bands should aspire to. i just hope they don't because I desperatly want to see them live and my old man won't let me >: (

No way is this their last tour! It would have been dubbed The Farewell Tour. Don't let the new album's title fool ya. Their will be another album. It will be called The Final Frontier 2 and then the Farewell Tour will start in 2012!

Trust me..Maiden will keep touring till we are all have grey hair and beards...and if they say that...then after a couple of years theyll come back on a reunion tour...Maiden arent going anywhere....I WONT LET EM!

I don't give a fuck what they do.
They are a great band. some tracks from BNW, DOD, AMOLAD were great but they are not kicking out the brilliant shit they were in the early carreer.
They sound great live - stunning - but if they want to quit it's up to them, and they are all in their fifties. They are a REAL rock and roll band. But if they want to do some other shit with their lives, that's cool. But I'll go see them if they play. Fucking Einstein theory, I think not.

Im from Colombia and the last time they came (2009) they said 3 things, that we were gonna appear in flight 666, that they were gonna release a new album on 2010 and that they will come again in 2011, so 2010 wont be the last tour, relax
