dude how did you get the platic off the actual internal cage. I have completely disesembled cases before but this one has stumped me!

The main reason for cutting the x in the mobotray was for a little more ventilation and for looks. I can probably use it to run cables through but I want to keep that to a minimum. I just used a few feet of sleeving and the black tubing to go over a group of cables.

hi. can you tell me please how you did the switches in the drive bay cover? i did watch tjharlows video but i am no electrician and i could not follow it. or is there maybe a controller out there that can do the same thing. something similar to a fan controller if you get my meaning. nice mods by the way. i have the same case and yours looks very nice.

I really don't know if I can make it much more simple than Tj. I just followed his videos for the switches to the cathodes and leds. For a fan controller I would just buy one that you can throw in a drive bay. If you want to go with something more advanced and have a bigger budget you can go with some of fan controllers on the Koolance website and control them with software. Thanks for the comment!

Man, I was USAF for 6 years and god do I miss it.. Got MED boarded.. Otherwise, that was exactly what I was lookin for. About to get the Cosmos S and was concerned about cable management hole placement.

Sorry to hear that man, anyway I think that the cable management holes are great on the case. I made a couple extra ones but the stock ones work pretty good.

i like your cut outs...i don't have the guts to cut mine up like that. your paint looks good but did you know you don't have to pay $40 + shipping to get a window?

you just need to buy a piece of acrylic, take out the side panel fan and cut to fit in there. oh and what did you use to house the front panel cables in, looks like a telescopic tubing of some sort, where did you get that?

Yeah I know you can make a window for the side panel. I just liked how the cooler master one looked better. I just used some of that black cable wrap tubing you can get just about anywhere, Home depot, radio shack ect. Thanks for the comment bro.

to get the chassis at what it looks like at 0:06 did you have to drill out any rivets?

No the whole plastic frame and outside can be removed with out drilling out any rivets, and it was really easy.

I did some light sanding on some parts but most of it I sprayed it as is.

Check back soon for the complete build. I don't intend to put any wires through or around the X if possible. It's mainly for looks and to give the mobo a little air. I was planning on putting in some holes for the video cards, power cables ect. but with the new layout of the x58 boards I wanted to make sure I get it first and put the holes in the mobo tray accordingly.

Core i7 extreme, asus rampage II extreme, New Intel SSD in raid 0, 1tb of storage, 3 way liquid cooled gtx 280s in sli if Nvidia doesn't release a duel 1gb gtx 350 card, Blu-Ray burner, Dominator or Patriot 1800 triple channel ram, 24" monitor and an duel loop liquid cooling setup.
