  • What a hoot this pic was! Imagine the budget for

    This movie lol!

  • love the nice English of that time. we are ruing it. nowadays.

  • That's the year I was "born".

  • she like, just died, wow - very sad

  • First movie I saw as a small boy was, "The Day the Earth stood still." I was at a very young & impressible age & frame of mind. That night of seeing the movie, those infamous three words, 'Klato, Baradda, Nicto,' echoed me into a peaceful sleep. Yes, I agree that this movie, "Stranger from Venus," is very much likened to the former down to the leading lady, Patricia Neal, although the 'message' from both visitors were similar; this one holds its on in emotion. Which one came 1st? No matter. C 2.

  • This is very similar to Neal's Day the Earth Stood Still.

  • Patricia Neal is driving a fake car

  • The highway patrolman from Venus!

  • Cool little black and white movie.

  • cool flick, and being on YT, can download em! =P

  • British films, like the British people, are so much more reserved, so low-key, not feeling the need for monsters, hideous make-up, elaborate special effects, and so forth. And yet their point is perfectly made thru superb acting, an intelligent script, wonderful direction, simple, effective art direction, and all those things that we Americans seem to assign secondary importance. With us, it's loud, disjointed action, exploitation of the senses, whilst the brain is deprived of nourishment.

  • Fun flick. RIP Patricia Neal.

  • RIP Patricia Neal....January 20, 1926 – August 8, 2010

  • @RayDAider Awwwwww. She died on my daughter's birthday. That's a shame. She was always a great actress.

  • A good story is a hood story no matter how old. Thiscis a story that still applies. Maybe more than ever.

  • some of theses shows I never heard of until I started using you tube to watch old TV shows I grew up watching in the 60s & 70s

  • early gov. cover-up.....lol

  • Good....

  • Patrica Neal she was in The Day The Earth Stood Still!

  • @KC8YOQ And now she's in this cheaper Canadian version.

  • Its a alien..... no its a martian..... no ITS AN ORDINARY HUMAN BEING!

  • I never got to see the end of the movie because the goddamn Google ad got stuck in downloading mode!

  • what country is this supposed to be as the police are carrying guns.?

  • He's from Venus yet he dresses like Murdock from the A-Team ....

  • That was one of the most ridiculous movies I've ever seen. The script made no sense, and the acting was like a bad high school play. The only redeeming factor was that it was so bad, it was entertaining.

  • i wish i could have a doctor that prescribed alcohol!!! id be sick every friday night!!

  • This movie is basically the same story and even stars the same female lead (Patricia Neal) of the 1951 remake retitled "The Day The Earth Stood Still", again remade in 2008 starring Keanu Reeves!

  • awsome movie

  • There is nothing like staying up late with a bowl of popcorn watching old black and white movies!

Thank you so much for posting this and sharing it with us all. =-D

  • Good barbers on Venus. I had 14 minutes to study the back of his haircut.

  • the lady that got in the car accident was totaly straigh out fake lol

  • What happened? This flick froze up at 26:00

  • testing. testing. come in planet Earth

  • Great film. They dont make `em like that any more !. Did the Aliens come and paint the planet Earth ?.. as I noticed we lived in a black and white world at one time.

  • i am nancy is fashon

  • Haha Lolled at the dress of the woman who crashed while driving,

  • I can't work this out british locations and actors and us,but dubbed by us actors..

  • It was made in the British MGM studios. Lots of media people blacklisted by McCarthy worked in the UK in the 50s, not sure if the people who made this were victims of the US communist witch hunt.

  • I enjoy how the man at minute 001:00 at his desk has a slew of newspapers in front of him instead of a laptop.

  • I enjoy how the gentleman on the phone at minuite 1 is at his desk with a slew of newspapers instead of a laptop. Smile

  • The script is pretty lame, the actors are simply unconvincing and the dialogue is from out of this world ... but what a photography ... one of the best and well balanced black and white cinematographies I've ever seen ... that really came as a very pleasant surprise ...

  • we need something new //

  • Patricia Neal looks at him and asks; "are you related to some guy from Mars that hangs out with a 7 ft robot?"

  • Don't forget in Klingon!

  • great!!. movies on youtube.. any old star trek movies? or classics like, scrooge, wizard of oz, Oliver, etc etc ?? will you post v good ones?? thank you.

  • ฉันชอบมันมาก

  • What is that?

  • 0:35:16, so Venus is millions of light years away! How interesting ;)

  • They took the scenic route!

  • Not only did they take the scenic route they wanted to add to their frequent space-flyer hrs!

  • @iamufreak I hope they sent out change of adress cards

  • The alien sounds like Inspector Couseau.

  • This was great. Thanks.

  • please post some more new B-horror movies..

  • Oops, his French has a strong Venusian accent. 31:41

    C'est la vie!

  • You can watch films on YouTube now?? Awesome! :D

  • why doesnt this play?

the screen is stuck on google ads

or there is an error code try later message

  • by that distortion you mostly only need to load again (new) this adress. repeat the load instruction once. then it runs - i know this shit. sometimes there is the attempt to hold us away by unknown sometimes to many viewers log on and the server is overloaded and you get this message "error - try later".

  • great

  • I love watching old movies. Althought it's old. They're still good.

  • Indeed!!!!

And people are still going into Museums to watch old things ;))

  • i am pretty sure that venus cannot support life.

  • hehe good old fashion moovie!Very Good Movie

  • 1hour? i thout that you could only have 10 minuet vids

  • Proof that great Sci Fi doesn't need color or even much in the way of special effects. Great writing, acting, casting and direction plus imagination go pretty far. The only gaf is that Venus is not millions of light years away!

  • So much like The Day The Earth Stood Still, but in many ways better. Certainly more touching and less ominous. Proof that great Sci Fi doesn't have to have expensive or even sophisticated special effects. Wonderful acting and casting.

  • Patricia Neal's charisma carries this film. Watch her eyes....magical. No wonder Gary Cooper loved her so much.

  • classic sci fi is awsome!! :D

  • Why the Scientology ad?

  • i love this movie, it is so enthusiastic

  • It should be "Stranger From Uranus".

  • It should be "Stranger From Uranus"

  • Patricia Neal...rotary phones...people from Venus that look human...ah the good old days!

  • "I've seen a lot of wrecks in my life. No one could walk away from this one. " Perfect

  • Three years after The Day The Earth Stood Still, Visitor was made. The Plot points match, but with little of the spectacle of the original. this film even borrows one of the stars. Quieter in tone, this film gets points for the thoughtful approach to aliens. slow moving, with few outdoor shots, the story manages to hold interest.

  • awesome

  • I didn't realize Venus is "millions of light years" away from us. LOL (35:14) Great flik if not scientifically in our universe.

  • ahhahahahaahha 2:15 aahahaha omfg!!! ahahahhah i just laughed my ass off!!! ahhaah that was so cheap lmfao!!!! I can make a better video with my phone lmfao. It's funny how this is a horror film its more like a comidy

  • good thoughts quality for this era...;-)

  • Interesting movie, but coming from venus, traveling 'millions of light years' - even back then they knew it wasn't that far away...

  • The alien from Venus sounds like Arnold Schwazenegger.

  • A really great film, extremely well thought out, executed with good acting and characterisations. Great fun to watch and brings back many happy memories from the halcyon days of movie making!!

  • yeah its so classic

  • i have seen this movie on veoh website it was good!

  • The Alien isn't from Venus...he's from Vienna with a thick Hungarian accent.

  • good video quality for this era...
