  • Cornuto=motherfucker=Metal sign!

  • i like how the last one is fuck off

  • @AVerbene i thought that's an international sign for "fuck off"

  • all prerfect but F**k you isn't correct...the "ombrello" is an extreme negation..for example "give me your money"=> To! + "ombrello"

  • Spanish and Italian sound much alike thats really cool actually

  • The reason is that people are jealous of us Italians, if had not been for us we

would still live in the dark age and still be eating raw meat even the alfabetic we use comes from the Romans

  • Argentinans do the same thing.

  • @tosolini

Great video, really enjoyed it. The only shame are those ignorant folk who babble about things they do not understand, just to draw attention. Instead of doing so, they should seek a shrink, because that need for attentiont must be related to not being loved by their parents or something like that. Seriously man, good job.

  • "Its like they were all deaf at one point."

  • Most important part is the languige. Then you can understand the people

  • The last one is wrong

  • @LAFD54 Sounds like a disgrace of my heritage

  • @LAFD54 Excuse me bitch?

  • how boring in italian hand gestures actually is talking about the balls lol

  • Comment removed

  • I am italian not because I was born in italy. Because I want to be italian in the place I live. You can take italian culture wherever you go.

  • @SomePinkGirl no way, u can be italian only by blood, ius sanguinis... P.S. complimenti per il video :D

  • many are used in portugal ! thats not exclusively italian .....

  • @LIVVORNNO and you should see how much Brits talk with their hands! :D

  • @LouiseHans10 ... We do?

  • @Ralex004 oh, yes!!!!

  • @LouiseHans10 Wow, surprising...

  • @Ralex004 One day I saw two colleagues of mine (one from Leeds and the other one from South England, on the coast, but not Brighton... don't remember) on our CCTV monitor and I could understand what they were saying thanks to their gestures! Since that day I paid attention, and yes, Brits do talk with their hands! There's nothing bad!

  • @LouiseHans10 Well not as much as Italians then, by far...

  • being italian is not more intresting then being russian or english or german.

But i always laugh on this:

    /watch?v=9JhuOicPFZY

  • i'm like 1/4 italian and my grandpa who is italian sent me to italy to school to study and get in touch with my roots does that make me a wanna be italian haha. since i'm going to be living here for a while

  • @11ItalianMan

    Mi madre? Isn't that spanish?

  • Reminds me of Family Guy, where they had Soviet spies who would activate upon hearing the phrase: "That Italian family at the other table is so quiet".

  • Unbelievable but true...You can talk to legendary Italian comedian Pat Cooper (Pasquale Caputo) directly this Thursday! Pat Cooper is making a rare, live appearance this coming Thursday, July 28th, 2011 at 7:04PM Eastern, 4:04PM Pacific exclusively on the fastest growing talk-radio station on the internet...TalkRadioX and he WILL take your call! Plus, he'll reveal the truth behind what everyone's waiting to hear about. Call-in to TalkRadioX and talk to Pat Cooper at (661)349-TALK.

  • In Argentina we say "eso a mi me nefrega" when we don't care about something. I always wondered what the heck "nefregar" was and where did it came from. Now I know xD.

We also use a lot of the gestures ^^.

  • There are two kinds of people in the world... Italians and those who wish they were Italian!!!!

  • 1:38 is what I say to Italians all the time. Spastic..

  • being italian american doesn't mean you're half italian, it means you are of italian decent and have just as much italian blood as an italian if your parents are italian. or it can mean you're culturally italian. Italians, like every other people, are both a race and a culture. and even if you're not born racially italian, someone with less italian in their blood than the Amish can be just as italian as a gondola rower in venice if they were raised to be italian

  • Vaffanculo <3

  • cha-cha-cha!

    ))))) Mi piacuto!:))))))

  • hahahaha i love my fuckin country!

  • Che buffo!

  • hold ma bupis wit yor hands bebi, dhen grap ma weys. muf dhem dawn an tacce ma tays, den tichel dem intu ma worm libs

  • My father (who speaks Italian) said that in that language, the way you say something is almost as important as what you say. He said, for example, that 'non me frego' can mean 'I don't give a rat's arse' or 'I don't give a f**k!' depending on the tone of voice and gestures.

  • Italian = Latin = 5 major languages including 2 minor languages with latin words and phrases.

French, Spanish, Portoguese, Italian, Romanian;,,, and some English language.

  • I love the italians. xD

They are so full of win when they talk!

  • i just do the gestures (im half italian) I didnt really know there was explanations for them.....

  • @Superspaceify It really seems like you put that justt to say "(im half italian)"

  • ahhahahaa i love it. They didn't teach me that in my italian classes. Just the professor for my second semester, was the younger one so she didn't mind to teach us a couple of "bad words"! my favorite was: non me ne frega un cazzo until i found MA CHE CAZZO VUOI!.......or the classic: STRONZO. i can tell that to anyone who i know knows not even a bad word in italian. i love to see their faces. :D

  • Albopride that's bullshit this is italian

  • lol

  • those hand gestures by the way are originally Albanian. It was introducted to ITalian culture, then hollywood picked it up

  • @albopride11 ma cosa hai detto??? actually don't believe that first was albanian. NO WAY. that's pure italian, well, NON ME NE FREGA i love italian language. THE BEST IN THE WORLD. <3 

  • haahahahh i actually laughed!!

    saluti da napoli <3

  • its a lil bit exaggerated and off beat, but close enough....

  • What do you call it when an Italian has one hand shorter than the other?

    A speech impediment.

    :p

  • have you tried doing only the hand gestures

  • Mah....

I am italian and almost 50% of this video is a fake.

  • A 1:07 te lo sei dedicato?

  • I LOVE IT!!!

  • iam 85 % italian and your pronounceation is off ...i no my english is probaly shit but who givees a dam.

  • @bigboss101111 well, I'm 100% italian and his pronunciation is perfect, I think he's italian too.

  • ok i am 84 % italian and this is mostly bullshit! most of the signals are correct but the pronouciation if way off for exsample Ho Fame! if pronounced ( hoo) Fahmeah) u sound irish when you say it

  • @bigboss101111

    it's not true.

I'm italian 100% and the only moment when you clearly realize he's not italin is at the end, when he says "ma vaffanculo", with too much emphasis on the L.

while when he says "C'è qualcuno che ruba" is great.

  • O my God, I do most of those things without knowing it

  • @LeMcCHarStar4ever Ya dude its funny

  • My grandparents were born in Italy. And i've seen them use these gestures.

  • I think that fashion and Italian cuisine are the best

  • @niko2996 You forgot the women! ;-)

  • Im italian..and my mom runs around screaming "mongya geh ghasta el mingya stafounga" or something at me laot..im not sure what it means.. but im just gonna let her keep yelling it..Lol

  • hah argentinians use the same gestures

  • i'm italian, and the "they are in agreement" gest usually means that they r in love... orgoglioso di essere italianooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • a finger up a greasy italian's asshole means " don't fuck wit me..just yet"

  • @rudegnappo Negative, false, wrong.

  • @rudegnappo che cazzo vuoi??? ;D

  • @damecalorpapi

Ti piacciono le parolacce in italiano? Te ne insegno un'altra:

Vai a menare dei belini, brutta bagascia

  • @rudegnappo ahahah troppo bello per te! Và a morire ammazzato

  • @damecalorpapi Sai cosa stai scrivendo?

  • @rudegnappo I seriously couldnt agree any more. I hear alllll the time people !!!THINKKKINNGGG!!! theyre italian. Its like they're so desperate just to be italian! My parents are italian but i dont go around bragging about it!

  • @rudegnappo I am an Italian American and have been to Italy. Why is that a bad thing?

  • @beatarmy22 Where are you born? In italy? no? So you're NOT italian!

Saying you are half italian is the bad thing, cause is not true.

    P.S.: "jersey shore" sucks

  • @rudegnappo I am born in New Jersey, that does NOT mean that I favor the show Jersey Shore or have anything to do with the behavior the people on it partake in. My family came to America from Italy, that makes me an Italian American. Like it or not, we are of the same heritage. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to someone who does not believe that people who leave their home country do not share the heritage of the people who remain there.

  • @beatarmy22 Don't worry, not all italians are so fussy... i don't care for example, and i think that saying "i'm an italian american" is legit and people should be always remember from were they come (and also be proud of that ;) )

  • @rudegnappo When my family left Italy they were poor peasants. When they arrived in New York they were at the bottom of the social status, just like in Italy. They worked their way to the top of the American economic status and now we have more money than the people who treated our ancestors like peasants in Italy, and we are citizens of the greatest country in the world. You should be happy that descendants of your country were able to come to America and make better lives for themselves.

  • @beatarmy22 so you must be poor in the head.

  • @beatarmy22 so you must be poor in the head. Please don't tag yourself as italian american. Just say your american.

  • @rudegnappo

Seriously, shut the fuck up. It doesn't matter where you're born, what matters is the ethnicity of your parents. I'm completely Sicilian by ethnicity, but I just happened to be born in Cairo, Egypt. So the fuck what? That doesn't make me Egyptian, asshole. Learn what you're talking about before you go off on people.

  • @mushroomartist Ethnicity? WTF is the "ethnicity"? Just nazi regime divide people by ethnicity.

You belong where your home is.

Have you ever lived in Sicily? I mean not just few days during summer: is your home in sicily?

  • @rudegnappo ''just nazi regime divide people by ethnicity'' u just wrote the biggest bullshit on the history of internet... its october 2011 and ethnic statistic, census etc.. are widely used everywhere in the world, from usa to malesia, from kenya to japan and so on.. plz dont write this crazy bullshit, somebody can believe u.. P.s. non scrivere cagate in internet

  • @mushroomartist

Where you're raised is the most important part of your national identity. Did you grow up in Sicily or in Egypt?

  • @mushroomartist but Doesn’t the culture from which land you were born, influence you? would'nt it be ignorant to deny the external cultural influences?

  • @rudegnappo If a Japanese was born and raised in Germany, would you call them German? No, they grew up in a Japanese house hold in Germany and learned the language as a child. You would say that they came from Germany, but you wouldn't call them German. You would call them Japanese.

  • @rudegnappo italians r greasy shithead motherfuckin douchebag wannabe gangster trash

  • @HYPHY112 how can someone from fucking afghanistan say something bad about an european country? xD

  • @rudegnappo why the hell would anyone want to be itallian? its not a bad country but its not very good also... i am your naibor and i know that its not that much interesting about u ...

  • @rudegnappo

sayin "Im Italian" doesn't make u any fuckin interesting! if u r a moron, no difference what country u r from.

  • Comment removed

  • @rudegnappo why do you care so much what other people say? if they are jealous of Italians, then thats fine

  • @rudegnappo

Ok, If you're such a true italian, then why are you watching a video explaining Italian hand gestures? Shouldn't this be your "Forte"? If you live in italy then why do you need this?

  • @TheItalianCanadian... Secondo me, non hai ragione.

Secondo me, linee sono piu importanti.

  • @rudegnappo Thank you!

  • @null from my very fractured understanding of Italian, you and milly are talking about... immigration? I assume Milly is making brash generalizations or something?

  • @Aepotheosis sorry I didnt' generalize at all. The fact italians are so welcoming toward everyone it' doesnt' mean we acept the bad behaviour. Unfortunatly not every immigrant is respectful toward us our culture costumes and country.

But the good honest respectful and polite people are always welcome here we italians like foreigners especially if they want to integrate in our population.

  • What the fcuk do you want? so that's what they were saying to me in New York

  • lol good to know ..

  • lol good to know ..

  • Cool!

  • man, that guy said different than whats written

  • i went to italy a couple weeks ago and i did not expect such rudeness from them, all they want is money from you, i was at the Duomo church in Milan and some misers were giving people bird seeds by force and after pictures and everything, they make you pay 10 CORNUTTO euros for fucking bird seeds. They just come up to you no matter what you say and just slam the seeds in your hands and make you pay

  • @TheXlazer6 Yeah, our shopkeepers always do this with foreigners.

Not all Italians are like that, though.

  • @FerdilHero I can understand that

  • @TheXlazer6 Hey! I'm sorry for what happened to you, I know it sucks. But I care to say that those people are not italians, they are all illegal immigrants. Hope you had also some good time in Italy :)

  • @HelluvaGirl89

illegal inmigrants, hm, honesty I've experienced more italians doing that, than inmigrants (I lived legally in Italy for 2 and a half years), especially in Rome (example: pictures with the roman soldiers)... I dont know how is it in Milan tough... and of course, I know not all italians are like that.

  • @aparanae Yes, I know it happens in Rome. I'm just talking about Milan since I live there. There's a different culture in those two parts of Italy, positive and negative sides in both of them. One thing is sure, gestures are the same in the whole country ;)

  • @HelluvaGirl89

Yes, that could be. And the funny thing with the gestures is, that in the time that I was living there, I was starting to do also some of them, (and also some italian noises while speaking) hahahaha, but it stopped since I moved to Germany :P

  • @HelluvaGirl89 actually we have a different set of gestures for almost every region but the differences are hard to tell

  • @unknown6287 thanks a lot you are nice I appreciate it.

    a greeting from Rome!

  • lol I mixed up " I dont care" with "what the fuck do you want" and I said "ma che cazzo vuoi" to my mother and she got REALLY pissed at me!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @rosannamfan were not fucking cocky, we like to go out and have a fucking good time, and we dont like to say fuck it's just neccesary

  • @GrandeSalvatore96 Quite frankly I don't give two fucks if YOU don't like to say the word fuck lmao.

  • @rosannamfan no jk Italians love that word

  • @rosannamfan 'cause we like to enjoy our life ;)

  • why americans are so impressed or atracted to the italian hand gestures?? you don't move your hands when you talk?? i think that is... anglosaxon culture is such a bore.. and yes, italian-americans are not italians, they are an ugly stereotype of real italians... they are the klowns of the original puritan gringo of america... a real italian dispice "american" culture.. they are so much better than them in almost anything

  • @sicoticosandro I'm much more animated when I'm high.

  • CornVuto!!!!!!!

  • is he grabbing his dick when he says che sfiga???

  • @nixit1 his nuts, apotropaic gesture

  • @nixit1 Yep, touching oneself's balls is a superstitious gesture to remove bad luck.

It's VERY informal, and not everyone uses it.

  • @nixit1 his nuts :) we use to grab our balls when someone talks about death, illness or sad stuff

  • How do you say "You are going home in an ambulance my friend"

  • con quella panza ci fai/facciamo proprio na bella figura

  • @450hGS You Oiv translated the, so dont think your cool because you can use a translator. If you where relay Italian you would of used some slang words. I can speak full Italian and i dont spell every word proper !

  • wow. that dude is soo creepy

  • Hahaha this was so entertaining. And I FINALLY know what that hand-under-the-chin gesture means now.

PD: los italian-americans, are not italians.. thay are a stereotype of italians...

  • How come on some of the phrases you do not pronounce what is written? Like "Sono d'accordo," you don't say that you say something else...

  • @spiderwebs7215 it's the only thing a little bit different. He says "van d'accordo" which is "they get along with each other"

  • @spiderwebs7215

He says "van (vanno) d'accordo". But you can say "sono d'accordo" it is the same.

He says a way different of what is written

  • Gotta love the Italians! : )

    Good vid, thanks!

  • @YoungIvyScholar

Io amo la cultura DELL' Italia e DELLA Svizzera.

LA lingua ITALIANA è (x) bellissima.

    :-)

  • @SentenzaFatboy Yes! Si!

  • these are real right? I wont learn the wrong thing and then get my ass whooped for doing it? If these are actual cool because I want to go to italy when I grow up

  • i only use one hand gesture, which is the middle finger. thats it

  • nagyon jóó XDDD

  • i always get asked if i'm Italian.. i think im gonna start saying yes now lol ahaha

  • @dexannn same lol

  • @dexannn I'm asked if I'm Italian...or Russian. xD

  • That song at the beginning... what is it?? I recognise it from the rockstar game 'Bully' !!... :D

  • Viva l'Italia!

  • vero= true

  • Funny =)

  • last time i checked denaro was money

  • @diedavidtenchdie yes, denaro means money, but italian people use also the word soldi. It means the same thing. I'm italian, so trust me :)

  • @haydensd oops i just looked it up before and realised too lol. so its like saying money or cash. same thing

  • @diedavidtenchdie yes, that's right. But we (I mean italian people) prefere to use the word "soldi" and not "denaro". Denaro is used as formal word. Soldi is informal, like your expression "what's up"..

  • @haydensd ahhk

  • @haydensd Soldi is informal? Does that mean it's like "bucks" or "dough?"

  • @kangadillo that's right...the word "denaro" is not very used...Other words are not very used, like the verb "possedere" (it means to have), but we use another verb, "avere" (it always means to have). I make you an exemple with these words:

"Quanto denaro possiedi?" (How many money do you have?) = formal

"Quanti soldi hai?" = not formal
