  • This song gets me all the womens.

  • I remember when this song first came out, I thought it was George Michael.

  • YES DONNY ROCKS !

  • so 1980s...

  • DJ'S WERE and can be ASS'S---Donny rocked this

  • can i pick a winner or what? he's one of my first crushes, along with bobby sherman. today, bobby is an emt and works with the carmel california sherif's office. donny is still amazing as well.

  • YUMMY! DONNY WAS MY "HEART THROB" IN THE 70'S. I HAD POSTERS OF HIM PLASTERED ALL OVER MY BEDROOM WALL! HE'S MY ABSOLUTE ALL TIME FAVORITE ENTERTAINER!

  • He gets better with age. I should know as he was born in my era. This song and Sacred Emotion show he has come a long way. Great work, Donny!

  • Hit #2 pop, #20 AC in the US. How'd it do in the UK? God bless!

  • This was a very good 80's pop record and the production on this song is very similar to the style which L.A. Reid and Babyface was known for. This song could easily be blended with Every Little Step by Bobby Brown.

  • @j85 ..you'd have to decrease "Step's" beats per minute a little, but yeah.... it could work.

  • I went to see him in 2004 before I left Scotland I went to see him at Edinburgh Castle x

  • has to be Donny's best song ever

  • I remember when this song debuted back in 1989. The DJ simply introduced the song and said "And I have absolutely no idea who it is by!" Funny, huh?

  • @bhkidd

WPLJ in NYC did that I know.

  • @bhkidd ... That's because Capitol itself authorized an advanced regional release to radio in the northeast U.S., and the promo copies that were distributed did not list an artist. They wanted to create buzz over this great track and its mystery artist. Once it was released commercially, radio stations were not hesitant at all to say that it was Donny. They used this same tactic at least once more, for a Poison single (I have that promo 12" single, with ??'s on it).

  • donny's best song!

  • Hit #2 in Billboard. God bless!

  • what is with you people

  • this song was on parker lewis

  • I think Donny danced with Ms. Musso!?!

  • yeah he's awesome and very underrated...beats Michael Jackson IMO any day.

  • Oh gosh, Thanks for the great laugh. Your comment made me laugh sooooo hard. It made my dad. Ha ha. Donny Osmond better than Michael Jackson. Hilarious!!! LOL

  • i love donny, so i love this video. thanks 4 posting it. if i had 2 b critical, it would b 2 put pix of donny. otherwise, its awsem.

  • This song is a guilty pleasure of mine!

  • Thanks for posting this song! Does anyone know where you can find the original cd- with faces in the mirror?

  • 100th rating ;D

  • i'd hardly call this a 'music video'

  • I remember hearing this song as I was driving home from work and thought, "That sounds just like Donny!" Took me a while to confirm because as you said, the DJ's couldn't really say. What a shame.

My first concert was Donny & Marie in about '76, and I loved it. He actually waved to me. LOL Amazing what an impact he made. Love to go back and watch the old Williams clips with his brothers.

  • 20 years ago at this exact time people were tired of him so DJs didnt say who the guy singing this was. People we shocked and mad when they found out it was him. Still the single was a major hit

  • @whiteipod2000 ... What actually happened was that Capitol itself authorized an advanced regional release to radio in the northeast U.S., and the promo copies that were distributed did not list an artist. They wanted to create buzz over this great track and its mystery artist. Once it was released commercially, radio stations were not hesitant at all to say that it was Donny. They used this same tactic at least once more, for a Poison single (I have that promo 12" single, with ??'s on it).

  • @whiteipod2000 ...and nobody got mad. lol...

  • I remember when this came out on the radio, no DJ would say who was singing. We had to play "guess the artist." The name Donny Osmond was NOT at the top of anybody's list. I had the 45 (that oughta tell my age) until Hurricane Katrina hit.

  • you know... you're right...

    Now that you mention it..

I don't ever remember hearing who the singer was to the song on the radio..

the song just popped up one day on the radio and was played many times during the day every day for a couple of years.. and I only found out now who sings it!! I never would have guessed it's donny

  • @orangie84

When this song came out donny used a diffrent name at 1st cause the label think no one would buy it if it from Donny Osmound so they say it from someone else till it become a hit. This was part of his comeback after the D & M days.

  • I had a friend that could not believe this was Donny either ....great song.

    I Luv You Geneva Ramsey

  • ftsjr, this song is like 20 years old, not like he just came out with it.

  • My mom got me into donnie osmond along time ago. Now, im 15 and i know most of his songs and all the words. Donnie rocks!

  • I love this song always have!!!!!

  • is this song on myspace? cuz i cant find it

  • i jam to this song

  • It's the first time I've heard this song, and it's a nice tune. It's a far cry from Donny's teeny-bopper days. He's overcome, to a good extent, that syrupy, goody goody image that he was saddled with for most of his career. It's great that he's comfortable with his entertainment legacy, and with his current career direction.

  • damn i actually like this shhh don't tell anyone lol

  • This brings me back. I was just a kid when this song was out, but I totally remember it being on the radio a lot!

  • Lotsa music, but no video to speak of. Nice try...but I say "what video"????

  • woah! although i love donny, i never rele knew how "bomb diggity" this song is! i seriously have to give him more credit!

  • Wow, I love this song. Also saw the Osmond concert in Cardiff! =)

  • well..where's Donny?? lol damnit all

  • i love this song because it has good music and lyrics! U ROCK DONNNY!

  • haha my mum is the same she loves him!!!

she went to see the osmand concert in cardiff only a few weeks ago! lol

i no all the songs cause she listens to them all the time hehe

but this one is my fav!!!

  • Im Really Into This Song, My Mom Has Seen The 5th Anniversary She Loved It x

I Love Long Haired Lover, I Love Jimmy!

Im 14 By The Way Lool

  • Hey, I met Jimmy a while back now, isn't he just great!

  • I was fortunate that I got to see him live in Colorado springs, CO in 1989(I was 14 yrs old at the time), during the Soldier Of Love tour. I still have the t-shirt...it was awesome, the sound really boomed the auditorium!

  • The comments here made laugh like hell. Some of the posters have brilliant imagination to the video. Read all about it!.

Also, Donny Osmond's voice is brilliant in this song :D

  • im 13 and i really like this song. (i think its kinda weird, but oh well)

  • it's not weird at all; he's so hot right now, he spans the range of demographics (from the old to the very young)

  • i saw donny on oprah to.. hes awesome.. they all are and hes a mormon.. what a good example he is..

  • This is NOT a "VIDEO," as labeled!

  • I saw the Oprah show today when He and he's family were there, they are great!

  • me 2

    on oprahh

  • I saw Donny Osmond in November 1989 at Chrysler Hall in Norfolk. He put on an awesome show. He played all the songs from the 1989 album plus One Bad Apple & Thank You For Letting Me Be Myself. Waterfront opened. Their hit was Cry (Don't Cry). Anybody remember them? Did anybody else catch this tour? Please reply if you did. Thanks.

  • me 2. they rn't selling it on itunes

  • When i saw donny sing some of this song on oprah, i have liked ever since :-D

  • the osmonds come 2 branson mo and i want to see them

  • I love donny osmond!!1

  • he gets better and better as the years goes by

  • Donny is the greatest!!

  • Where can I find all the donny osmond music videos from this album?

  • try LimeWire

  • Donny Osmond lol

  • Does anybody have this actual song they can share with me?

  • i would love to find the actual video

    him and his mullet....

hard to believe that he is a grampa now

    still good looking as ever

  • I know there's a video of it, i've seen it on VH1 Classic. Anyway, good song!

  • they showed partial clip form this video on Oprah about a month ago when him and the WHOLE Osmond crew was on there

wish i could find it on here

i love the song and the video

  • i forgot about that; yeah, i did see it; i apologize;

  • I loved the part where Donny is on turntables, it looked very convincing! Good stuff.

  • Someone out there on this planet must have this video to the song, there is one as ive seen it! find it someone!!!

  • there was no video to this song because it was "billed" as a mystery artist; the record company kept the "secrecy" by not having one

  • Yes there was a video because ive seen it many times, yes it was a mystery artist but he made a video, in it he dances by fire and has a jeans and a leather jacket on, i have clips of the video but not in full, i will j=have to put the clips on to prove my point, In the uk where it was released first it was not a mystry artist he came out as donny in 1988.

  • Although I can't find a way to upload videos, I have seen a video on VH1 Classic a few times, but it's very rare that they show it.

  • But even after the song became a Top 10 hit and when it was revealed that Donny Osmond was the artist, I thought he actually shot a video for the song. At least, I thought I saw VH1 play snippets of it on his Behind The Music special.

  • I can't believe you're not working professionally in the music video business!

  • LMAO How true!!!!

  • So where exactly is the video??

  • Just what I was wondering

  • donny does sound a bit like george michael..all in all its a pretty good 80s song

  • What a good video you made! You should be a video artist! I'm sure you can make it! I especially love the part in which you run back and forth naked chasing a stray cat that stole your carp you'd kept for your lunch in the frige.

  • Nice video... excellent visuals! The part with the burglar on the roof holding on to a single red rose just gave me goosebumps...

    Good work!!!

  • Nice to have the song posted - thanks!

  • soldier of love was released as a white label... no one knew it was osmond... it was funny how well is succeeded without his name tied to it...

  • what do you mean white label, when this song came out i knew it was him, his cd said so of course and so did the media...no mystery...

  • It was released as a white label to a small market before you ever heard it.

  • thats true. and no the media didnt say who was singing it when it was first released. I remember because I wanted to know who was singing it and they never said. But when they did say I was shocked that it was him. But I still loved the song.

  • ok, I see....

  • lol..i remember that, they made such a big deal about the "mystery" artist. Didn't Peter Gabriel write the song though?

  • Nice audio pity about no video.

  • This songs a lot like George Michael to me. The music arrangements are similar as well to G. Michaels. IMHO of course!!!

  • I always have trouble with Windows Movie Maker too. I use Showbiz

  • So, where is the video?

  • So, where is the video?...

  • So sorry guys the WMM (Windows Movie Maker) must have messed up on this one. So sorry.
