Hey, i just found my old harmonica and wanted to learn it, and i cant tell if it's diatonic or chromatic (yes im a noob) but it has 16 holes and is about 5 inches long... any help lol?

@stonedkid69 it means if you are (drawing) or (inhaling) or blowing [there is nothing around the blow notes] so this is a suck note (3) and this is a blow note 3... cool?

Naw man, you just gotta keep trying, no matter how bad you are. Once you get past the hardest beginner stages. Especially if you are teaching yourself. I've taught myself all I know about guitar, and am just starting the harmonica. I can hardly even get a clear, unchorded note, and the only way I can is by u-blocking! Which makes your tongue sore FAST. So just keep at it. Someday you'll be really good. It just takes time and a load of practice.

The majority of harps you are going to find are diatonic. The other one you'll probably see is a chromatic, which is easy to discern because it will be slightly larger, and will have a button on the right side of the harp. There are other variations, but like I said, the majority that you see will be diatonics.

The about the video has the notes to the song as well as the Key Harmonica it is for. It is a C harmonica which all notes will sound slightly transposed then an Ab. You can still play the same patterns, it will just sound lower/out of synch from what I play.

Fun song--I tried it a while back but sort of got tired of it--its a song I've been playing for years and I'm used to to playing it on the piano which is easier. (Some songs sound better on harmonica of course.) With harmonicas you can usually figure out stuff without tabs, but they're nice to have if you forget how to play.

I dont know if i got it stuck or if it came like this.

The notes are not in the song, but when I draw on -2. It doesn't sound almost at all.

-8 and -9 are also kind of crappy when I draw.Specially -9. It takes a while for the sound to come out. The other hoes to great, I have a C lee oskar with 10 holes.

Any idea why? Is it normal? Any tips on how to clean my harmonica.
