I feel alot of us mothers who are single raising our kids the best we know how don't get enough credit! I know how important it is for a father to be in a young boys life, but we can't do that for them if the father isn't willing. Also it seems we are the ones that get pushed aside when we are the ones there for our kids!!!

you think you had it bad growing up my mum died of cancer and then my father commited suicide my sister then went crazy and even tried to kill me for eating her chicken leg she's in a mnetal hospital and i got kicked out of 3 schools for setting fire to one and punching a teacher in both of the others please dont act as if you grew up bad cause you were lucky

Good on ya, Ryan. I am a 67 year old American living in New Zealand. All father's are human. I wish I had mine back. He did what he thought was right for me at the time with all the stresses of life he also had to live with. That is why the bible says 'Honour thy Father and Mother". You're maturing and learning that even Fathers can't be perfect. It looks like you have grown into a fine sensitive young man.

Be lucky that you had a father in your life as a father myself it is important to have a father kicking you in the ass if you even think you are going to do something bad.
