Is this an older version of the game? I'm noticing subtle differences, for example at the place at 3:15 there are only blocks at the top, whereas the version I've played has em at the bottom too, so he could've saved himself.

I don't like it when they do that though, I feel those mess up the point of LPs. How can you revel in the agony of a player if they sound like an incomprehensible chipmunk?

If they don't want to show off their many deaths of them, they should just cut them out of the video instead of speeding it up. It'd save in video time much more effectively.

I still don't like fast forwarded gameplay footage, though. It just bothers me.

A death montage like the ones on those Kaizo Mario vids would be the best solution to this, but it requires video editing skills beyond "fast forward this segment".

It's less sadistic on this level, that's for sure. Also has a new enemy type that creeps the hell out of me. And they redid some stuff (world 8 and -8, to be precise) in addition to the minor edits to the levels.

I dunno if it's better, per se, though... I mean, have you SEEN the new world 8?
