I played the shit of this album back in '82. I first got into them from listening to the Ralph Records samplers and then bought this and just about played the grooves off it.
@DrVice1 I'd always been led to believe that the Residents were from Texas, along with Roky Erickson and the Butthole Surfers. I may just be making hat up though.
@spuffchops70 The Residents were originally from Shreveport, Louisiana (where in the Hell is that, right?) but relocated to the bay area in 1972, I believe. One of the bands they befriended there was Chrome. The two bands felt a kinship because they both operated very much on their own, without a big label prying into their business or meddling with their recording process.
@sex6cult9revolution Yeah, Chrome sound quite residential. Thanks for clearing up some of the mystery which surrounds this band. I'm wondering whether Creed or any of the other band members are still active, recording or touring?

@audiodead this is the original version. a lot of bands back then were influenced by chrome, among them butthole surfers and godflesh...
