That's not a rogue wave, for God's sake! I've never heard of a rogue wave right on the coast; they occur far out in sea and are over 70 feet high, even possibly 120 ft high. I watched a program about rogue waves, and now I'm afraid to ever travel on a ship.

If you stare across the surface you will detect a consistent wave height occasionally punctuated by much higher waves.

Standing that close to the shore at Mavericks is the same as walking acorss the 5 freeway in San Ysidro at 10 pm. in the winter. you stand a good chance of meeting a car up close and being tossed 50 ffet into the air.
