Karen - just wanted to let you know how inspirational your videos have been for me. I'm just starting my liquid pre-op diet today and check in and rewatch many of your videos for inspiration. I'm not even sure how to do the uploads for making videos (computer savvy I am not!) but I think it is a great way to document. I LOVE LOVE LOVE your cooking videos and just want to thank you again for all your posts.
Doing great I'm down 60lbs and counting since May 3rd when I had my surgery. Just hard to get all the required protein in, which is 60-80 grams a day. Got any suggestions or tricks I could use?
watching your videos have been GREAT!! and I know so mutch more about how it feels, what to eat, I can so recognize the problems you had when you where bigger - I am still - and I am looking sooo forward to loosing weight.

Hi Karen, nice to see you! You look great! Great success girl! I haven't watched videos for a long time so I was looking up some of my u-tube friends....
I am a new sub to you and excited to watch your journey unfold. Congrats on your weightloss so far and you go and keep up the great work I myself had RNY on Nov 23rd 09 and these videos help keep me going
Thanks so much for all your info. I had surgery 5/11/10. in Costa Rica.(3 hrs from home in Florida.) I have a problem getting all the protein in. Do I drink protein drinks a little at a time all day long. I feel great, but know that I should be having more protein. I have saved all your receipes & look forward to trying them. thanks again, you look great. marinemom1

Hi Karen, you look great, i have been in appeal for the sleeve forever it seems like, well, TODAY i get a call from the doctor's office wanting to schedule surgery,,,,,yeah, 4/28/10 yipee,,,,, just wanted to share, i love you and your videos, you are always so positive, keep up the good work, :O) jeani
Karen, I just did a DNA test that determined if you should do low fat or low carb diet and came up low carb. So of course I bought a bag of mints... and gained a pound. I wonder where my head is sometimes! I know it is a struggle for me so why do I make it harder on myself? Rhetorical of course, those carbs are evil!!!
Great numbers! "These little bumps on my wrist" - LOVE IT! You are looking and sounding SO Great!
Yes, the snacking is the demon for all of us. Thanks again for such an honest video. You are teaching others who are considering this or are in their early post op time.
It's been a great year sharing this journey with you. I am proud to have you as a friend here on Youtube, and maybe someday in person, if I ever get to your neck of the woods.
Great video. You look great, great info on carbs, and great to hear things are going well for you and your husband!
I'd love to see you do a cooking video again sometime. I know you're really busy; I can relate. Your videos are always a bright spot in my evening...;-)
you are showing everyone the right way to do the sleeve for sure. congrats on the wt loss. thanks for taking us along. its so nice you are moving above your parents. they will be very blessed. waves~~~
@crosspecans I wouldn't say I'm a poster child for the sleeve, but I certainally am when it comes to reality. I still have to fight snacking, carbohydrates and quantities. And I don't win all the time. :)
great to see ya. i have enoyed watching your journey this last year. its so nice you are moving into house above the parrents. im sure they will apprecitate the company and care. waves~~

Have missed you, Karen! But hey, you gotta do what you gotta do and we all understand that. You always have the best information and are very helpful and a perfect reminder of what one needs to do to stay or get back on track. Congrats on things falling into place. We are all on your side with lots of prayers and rooting for you and Dave!
