GTA 2 Vista... LMFAO!

I have a question,how did you get this to run on Vista? I tried it and it did run but I got a screen bug where the screen had big black lines popping up every second.

How did you get the game running I can't even get it to start on Vista.

Downloaded it from the rockstar site for free. Than I just installed it. Sometimes with programs when you click install on vista, it takes a long time for the program to start.

Nope, full free thing. GTA I is there aswell.

How did you get it to run now?

There was 2 versions. DoS and OS. I got a diffrent disk.

Gta1 had one of the f-keys that would pump up the speed to as fast as the cpu could handle. Try mashing the f-keys and that might fix it.

ok i know what to do, Go into start>>All programs>>>Rock star games>>>Gta 2 Manager >>>>>> video tab >>> Check the box that says Frame rate limiter.

Then your done =D

could be because of dual core ...

that the cpu ticks are doubled...

there should be a patch on microsoft site for this issue

cpu "ticks" are not doubled in a dual core setting. I don't understand why people like you feel the need to make suggestions when you know nothing. Frame limiter needs to be enabled for any computer stronger than a 266mhz p2 for gta2, it's nearly 10 years old. It would be too fast on a 5 year old single core celeron.

Alt+Ctrl+Del, click the Processes tab, click GTA2.exe, right click, Set Affinity, deselect one of your processors, press "OK".
