Fergie could probably reach higher connected head tones (and even disconnected, to be honest) than Aguilera, because she has a higher natural tessitura, and her upper belts have a lot of chest incorporated in them, and they sound EASY for her; so a pure head tone half an octave higher should be easy as pie for her. and if it's disconnected/falsetto...possib­ly even a full OCTAVE higher.

yeh thats still only one area.christina is stronger in all other aspects and registers of the voice..chest voice is important but still only one register.... christina has a strong head voice & her mixed has gotten stronger as her career has gone along... you also gotta consider the timbre, they both have nice tones... but i have seen some performances where fergie's vibrato slips into a wobble, of course some performances are better than others. but overall i think christina a better vocalist

Yeah, her mixed has gotten a bit stronger, but F and above is very weak...she almost sounds like she's about to go false, honestly. It's VERY thin up there...and she needs to apply a lot of head resonation just to achieve it.

Speaking of vibrato...yeah, Fergie's vibrato wobbles sometimes, but at least she has vibrato lol. Christina doesn't apply vibrato to SUSTAINED belted notes above C5 or C#5. and I've heard her do it on B4 before, but it was very pitchy...("The Star Spangled Banner")

No, she DOESN'T have 4 octaves, because her head tones are DISCONNECTED (ie, more like falsetto)...if they WERE connected head tones, then she would be able to belt higher too, because connected head voice is supported by chest. DISCONNECTED (falsetto) is not. Therefore, she only has 4 octaves if you count her disconnected notes....and only her STUDIO ones at that, because her highest live is a pitchy A6 that lasted a nano-second.
