@MitsurageChin That is true unfortunately, firearms dominate the modern battlefield and fighting honorably with swords seems archaic in this day and age, but don't you see other values in the history and heritage of swordsmanship? If you are so proud of being from Germany, do you not have respect for those who practice and study the lengeschwert disciplines?
@MitsurageChin Pretty much everyone nowadays who trains in the sword in any form or style knows full well of is non-use in today's society. It is not to learn how to kill. This is not the point of training. Why, then, paint a picture that you do not have intentions of selling, or train in a sport when you do not intend on being a professional, or practice an instrument as an amateur musician? It is an art and an extension of one's passion for such things. For some, it is much deeper than that.
@MitsurageChin yeah that is called kime. which in my opinion is most impressive in this clip. while you practise you have to take your time to focus. if you don't learn that you will never be able to master the way of the samurai.
