I don`t know how much benefit this music is doing to islam but end of the day it is haram. So one Haram can not do good at all. The ruling on instument sbeing haram was revealed AFTER the prohet entered medinah. There are authntic hadeeths in bukhari of rasulullah describing the punishment of those who use instruments. The duff which is not a drum & what was used is permisble for weddings.
