@TheAngeltoDemon There have been plenty of crossover athletes "of that caliber". They fizzle out. Mma is a different animal entirely. Your either a fighter or your not. Your not a great football player and suddenly a freak at fighting.
I think i get your point though and i agree, you can't crossover, they are too different. What i'm talking about is, there are alot of NFLers who say wrestled in high school, won state, but chose to play football. Because of the number of scholarships, opportunities and money, very few athletes who are this large do not compete in combat complementary sports. If you are 205+ and are a superior athlete, chances are you are not fighting but playing greater money sports.

True. I agree GSP is world class. I would say most larger athletes are where you struggle to find really elite athletes. An all american wrestler friend of mine pointed that sort of anomoly out to me. The bigger guys generally stop wrestling or never wrestle so the athleticism and skill level is lower for the higher weightclasses than for the lower, because there just aren't too many sports smaller athletes can excel at on a professional level.
