The Bob Ombs can be a nightmare, especially in the match against the creatures that replaced the wireframes. I forgot what they are called. The explosives result in an easy KO, especially after I have taken a lot of damage.

I've studied this video and came to one solid conclusion... That whole explosion was YOUR fault not the game's. Sure the bob-omb was there, BUT you COMPLETELY missed your target with a move that was totally and completely unfit for that situation and got punished for it. Where you did your up-air should've been f-air and that would've gotten the job done. When R.O.B. respawned the screen would've zoomed out enough to see the bob-omb WAY before R.O.B. became vunerable again. Again, your fault.

@CrossZiggy My bad for sounding irritated and all, I was actually quite calm at the time. While it is true he COULD'VE died from the bob-omb, it is also true that when it lights its fuse it makes a wierd sound and if you,ve played the game enough you know what it sounds like. It is the only item that makes that sound. Whenever you hear it, it should come as a warning, however, due to the quality of the video it is kinda hard to hear it when it happens. Listen closely, it's there.

@CrossZiggy Do you fake them out  when you chase them? I do. From my exps. the skilled know you want a kill so they most likely go defensive and if you start attacking a lot you are more likely to leave openings, giving them the chance to hit and run. On the other hand, they may take a chance and go for it. Most people I've seen doing this tend to have a great offensive game. I myself have done both and had to deal with both as well, online and local (my cousins are quite a handful, lol) :)

He swings at nothing and makes a random diving stab that doesn't even come close to hitting, so, yeah, not a player with a tremendous skill level that is going to go deep into a tournament anyway.

It's simply stupidity by the player. If you had scanned the screen properly like anybody in the world who uses items always does, then you wouldn't have run into it. Bob-ombs only start to walk like in this video if left alone for a while, and if you had, like I said, scanned the screen, it wouldn't have happened.

Random is the keyword. In competitive play, the more luck factors removed, the better. Random items are a HUGE luck factor.

You can't adapt to every situation. The video shows this, because there was no way for me to adapt to a random bomb-om coming from off screen, especially since I was in my free fall frames. Now if money was on the line, and someone lost a match due to something similar that happened in the vid, I'm sure whoever lost would be VERY pissed off, since he didn't lose due to the opponent skill, but due to the random luck factor.
