  • Thanks for the info... That is sure a short flight time... I wish it could be extended... My trainer gets at least 12 minutes per battery...

  • How long is your battery lasting? I read in the instructions that flights are only 5 minutes? Is that true?

  • @neominois Yes, the flight time is around 5 minutes with 3S1800mAh30C pack. After 5 minutes cruising flight, my pack voltage comes around 3.7v per cell. Although 5 minutes may be slightly conservative, the flight time varies according to your flying style. I recommend you to check pack voltage after your flight.

BTW, now I fly my Fw 190 around 7 minutes with two-blade APC10x6, CC TB36 ESC and Rhino 3S2150mAh30C pack.

Sorry, The Rhino battery I mentioned is 3S2150mAh30C, not 3150mAh.

  • I just bought this plane and am soooooo nervous about flying it, don't want to crash... hope the landing gears hold up!!!

  • @neominois As the aileron control is a bit sensitive, it would be better to apply some expo on your transmitter, IMHO. I set 20%. Good flight!

  • @neominois I am having trouble with my gear collapsing on landings and even taxiing. I have done a little more to secure the servo in the wing. Also been adjusting the rods to make sure it snaps it open so it locks. Other than the gear, this plane has been a LOT of fun in the two flights so far.

  • @vetitoe362 I increased the servo travel (end point) for landing gear +/- 115%.

  • @cvlex2008 Thats about where I set mine, flew it again and the strut broke as described below. I used CA glue to repair it, and reinforced it with some bits of metal pushrod and epoxy in the recess. Hopefully that will do the trick. Other than the gear the plane is a real winner! Nice flying by the way.

  • I had my maiden flight with this model today. It was nice. However on landing the scissor strut snapped on on side. It was a normal landing.

  • how do you make the wheels/retracts go slower!?

  • @TheAngusjnr You can slow down the servo speed for retractable gear with Spektrum DX8 transmitter:

    Servo Setup Menu

    Speed

    Gear

    7.0s

  • Verry nice

  • Do you think that it is a good plane for beginners? I have a lot of cars and a 1/5 scale rampage MT but I never had an rc airplane. Thanks

  • @WStar4Life Although the Fw 190 is docile and stable, any low wing scale airplanes are not recommended for beginners. It will be better for you to start flying trainer. I also recommend to learn flying with sim.
