Hey folks - apologies for the delay in response....no other software than cfdesign is necessary for this. we didn't have to use ICEM, Gturbo, or other plugins from CDadapco either. I just pick the parts that move and either let them be 'free' to be pushed by the flow or define a motion sequence, etc. easy.

yeah i should have relized it, i thought CF design is one of features of some software, how did cells rotate, does it also require a moving mesh code? or software can handle it by selecting moving regions. I use STAR-CD for simulating vane pump. And it is really complicated.
