Leonardo De Vinchi came up with this idea. It did not work for him. To make it work the weights must power themselfs uphill at the top and bottom. This design is so inefficent that I would not even consider it for my perpetual motion machine that I plan to build after I figure how to conceal the drive and power source. Of course it will be a trick but it will be a really good looking fake.

Leonardo De Vinchi came up with this idea. It did not work for him. To make it work the weights must power themselfs uphill at the top and bottom. This design is so inefficent that I would not even consider it for my perpetual motion machine that I plan to build after I figure how to conceal the drive and power source. Of course it will be a trick but it will be a really good looking fake.

Might be more useful if you refute the free-energy magnetic generator idea (if that is what you're refuting) with a little more intellectual force than simply the repetition of the "f" word.
Also, because "thousands" have thought of it (including Tesla) does not mean it does not work. Another problem, or complication: it does work. My brother has one running in his living room. The equations are also there to show that physical objects get shorter as they approach the speed of light.

Magnetic fields do not contain energy that can be used to produce work--- every must be added to them, every time, without exception. Therefore "a self contained motor from magnets" is impossible.
