hey DSS , if memory serves me, the egg hornet is done in trial mode, but there's the intro that uses 4/5 seconds of the run, but with this method you can cut if off . you probably meant something about it in the description, but I was too lazy >_> sorry, please think about it .

I don't know but if you guys didn't hear DarkSpinesSonic in one of his previous vids, you can't sequence break in this game. (Correct me if I'm wrong DarkSpines, because this seems to be some different case from the twinkle park one)

Correct, there hasn't been a successful sequence break in this game thus far. Whether sequence breaks are possible or not, I can't quite say at the moment. It seems very unlikely that sequence breaks are possible though.

because the game does not continue automatically at certain parts (for instance triggering a cutscene). unless u can trick the game that u completed a certain level (in this case, fighting the egg hornet), u'll be stuck.

4 cont.) the other spot is next to where the cart appears later to take you to the other section of mystic ruins. if you stand in front of the third piece of wood from the end of the track, charge a spin dash (you want to aim towards the wall, and a little bit away from the gates blocking the track) then jump as you go over the track, sometimes sonic will start running on the wall. i think it's possible to go over the wall here.

Yes, it is possible to get on the other side of the gate (I've done so by other means than which you have stated), but it doesn't really do you any good. There is no activator behind the gate to go to the forest, it's the trolley that allows you to make it to the forest.

4) there are two other spots where you can run up the side of the mountains in mystic ruins. the first is below the where the train tracks enter the mountain, near the cave with windy valley in it. all you have to do is spindash along the wall. unfortunately, it has no use, other than possibly getting the emblem near there, but sonic has better ways to get that.

3 cont.) the corner of the invisible wall on the side of the cliff and the invisible wall that keeps you from running up and over the mountain is weak. if you spin dash like crazy, you can force yourself onto the side of the cliff. it usually clips you right back onto the main platform, but if you get lucky and turn away from the mountain as you break past the invisible wall, you can run around on the side of the cliff. i'm not sure if you can do anything from here.

spent an hour trying this. i found out four things:

1) you don't need the rock. you can run up the wall emerald coast style if you go off to the side. just stand right next to the wall, charge a spin dash, release it, then cancel the spin dash.

2) as you said, you don't need the light speed dash to do this. that is, as long as you don't care that the ancient light doesn't do jack shit without it.

3) behind the ancient light, you can force yourself off the mountain.

This is definitely my favorite sonic glitch that doesn't involve a massive timesaver (like your Unleashed vids), also, I find it funny that tails "reunites" with Sonic after being with him during Red Mountain!

.......your point? most people did know about that spin dash. It's not hard to find a slanted slope. getting into the tunnel is EASILY more important, and as you stated, you had nothing to do with that.
