I'm 61 years old and I have a grandson 17 years old really picking up the guitar fast and is always asking me to show him something new. I played this song best I could for not playing much anymore but I am going to show him this video so he can practice your style. I will love sitting and listening to him play it. At his age he will probaly have the tune and words learned by tommorrow. Thanks

One question. At the end of the riff when you go from the open D sting to the low open E. The open E seems so dark compared to the original recording. Could it be correct to go back to the E on the D string?

Well being from the generation that heard it when it came out i can say this is an excellent lesson. Simple clear instructions ,repeated slowed down and spot on. All you need to get started playing one of the most important riff/songs that influenced bands that became household names. Great job John.
