  • Ya I do that 2 finger handstand, no help needed. I do it daily.

I do not eat glass, you will pay for that in the "end".

  • I went to see these guys,it was fantastic and the kids are who impressed me most. A friend of mine hung out with them too, and they really are insanely hard but very caring. Their skill is far beyond what the majority will ever achieve and it's due to very hard work. Disrespecting them says more about you than it does about them, really.

  • que reggio carajo ,impresionante la actuacion de estos chinos ...ademas que estan buenos jajajaajajajajaj !!!!!!!!!!!

  • eating glass lol

  • these guys make ufc fighters look like slow, fat kids.

  • lol send these guys to war, each with a box of needles... -_- '

  • XD lol, that's funny!!!!

  • @jclu5293 war is for the weak.. can t hold their own otherwise.....american i guess..and still get flooded by.."diversity"

  • not bad, for show and entertainment

  • chewin glass it one thing, havinf shit out sliced and diced pieces of bloody crap is another, i wanna see that lmao =p

  • check out the YNC. i saw a vid of a guy who had to do that. true story. IF YOU DARE

  • youre wrong Buddhism respects and accepts all religion. a buddhist person could still believe in god and celebrate any type of culture or holiday.

  • hmm thought they also accepted ppl who just want to learn martial arts and not follow the religion

  • check out the book The Grandmasters Text: History, Philosophy, and Gung Fu of Shaolin Chan.

This will clear up your misconceptions about shaolin that you SEE on video, and what true Shaolin is.

Shaolin Chan Buddhism is like Zen Buddhism. Its a way of living, instead of a religion.

But yeah most shaolin nowadays is just the P.R.C. getting tourism, to put it bluntly. Cool to see, but... yeah. thats not real shaolin.

  • i quite aggree with this view point

  • dese folks can woop my ass in a sec i dont give f*** its da damn truth

  • cool

  • Don't bet...

  • don't bet, it's not worth it

  • I really want to see a Kung Fu master compete MMA or K-1 to see how they fare...

  • I am afraid that everyone of them would kick my ass in a real fight.

  • cool

  • yo that internal part place , that gotta hurt man!!

  • oh yea...they ROCK at chicken fight in the water. omg

we went to CVS to buy a whole bunch of water guns, and for like 2 hours we had this massive water gun fight in the water (kinda dumb if you think about it, but still fun)

our fingers hurt like hell later

  • they're very fun to be with

oh..and that guy who hops up the stairs with his head? he's a drunk. he reeked of alcohol every time we saw him and at times he sounded like a pedophile. it was weird...

  • they love playing the nintendo ds, and the one monk who had one played with us a lot. sadly, we ended up taking his game with us accidentally, so he's missing a game :(. best info ever: they can't float in water. at the hotel where we stayed at, they kept on asking us how to float, since they're bodies are like all muscle. we also helped them buy materials they needed: the light bulb he eats, the glass they break, etc. etc.

  • there's nothing like being backstage with them. i helped them promote their performance in houston as well as florida, and trust me, they're pretty crazy.

  • i once saw this in my hometown with my brother

  • my parents had to host these people when they went to our state. they came here twice.

  • oh yea and i've seen their show like lots of times. they're actually crazy when they're not performing

  • does anyone else think that since the Chinese government tampered with Shoalin with Tourism that the Buddhist elements are all gone?

  • I saw a lot of this done about 2 hours out of Luoyang (I think) about 7 years ago. It was incredible, all the stuff they did. I also visited the Pagoda Forest, where there were a ton of long-dead monks and their pagodas of varying size.

  • shaolin monksare the best people on the world. and kung-fu is the BEST of all fightsports! we destroy all another sports

  • yeah sit in the front and get hit by them lol

  • i liked that rolling balls, your movie comments fun too, well done 5/5

  • I saw these same guys when they were in The Netherlands (first row too :P) and now I can rewatch it all! Thank you so much! I especially liked the needle throwing :)

    Btw, nice camerawork.

  • If I could i'd leve america and go join the monks seriously all I care about is martial arts it's my life mostly so why not.

  • hahhahaha...america has no culture

  • the text saying eating glass is a rubish skill...??

W T F it shows extreme discapline. god dam yanks need to eat humble pie.

  • Shaolin is the undisputed leader in martial arts of all kinds, though small in number, Wu Dang might match them.. but I love how there true extent is finally being shown and (at some degree) respected that the old ways arn't gone

  • jesus was black

  • hahaha, oqkushcali, where were you when you watch this clip? He was not black, but he was a kung fu master

  • dedy, i was on 5 vicodins and a 2 gram blunt

  • hey, u had a comment on the vid:shaolin kung fu spectacular saying jesus can fight any of these guys (NONE AS MONKS) with 1 finger.... im catholic but i dont agree..... wats ur prob i mean they didnt do anything to us catholic/christian people... it is just like a religion..... their's buddist..... were catholic/christian.. SOO WATS THE POINT OF SAYING THAT COMMENT?!!?!!?

  • iunno monks are peaceful and so is jesus.. or i hope he is... so technically yea... they both win?

  • you bush123 are a fucking faggot, sure you are a punkassbitch, you are probably pathetic, you can't fight with your own hands bitch, so go and see different shit cause real fights are not for pussies like you.

  • perfect

  • fighting vblind folded...

  • Go watch tv with a mcdonalds menu, and some gatorade.

  • holy shit i love that crouch part and nice ass 2 finger push up and hand stand

  • HEH, its funny how you say WE rule, when you most probably dont know how a bomb even works, Cant afford materials to make a bomb, and cant be bothered to learn martial arts. So you really cant say anything about these people

  • Because retards like you keep bombs in there backyard just incase a shaolin monk comes to whoop your ass.

  • Heh, where do some of you get your insight from? These monks were from Deng Feng China (AKA shaolin village). Our Shaolin school did the half time lion dance. This was actually at the Stafford Center in Stafford Tx which is right outside of Houston. Shaolin monk tours is a common attraction these days.

  • lo mejor seria dejarlo como arte marcial. y no llevarlo al espectaculo solo por dinero ni entretenimiento .. es arte milenaria que hasta ahora vive.. sepanlo

  • if u were a true fighter and a fair person, u'd fight without weapons

  • i see a lot of Americans here commenting ,trying to insult, make fun of these people.i am not really interested if these monks should show off, probabaly fund raising.but retarded americans can not bother moving their fat ass off the couch and prefer making fun with someone who actually bothers!

  • yea this was for fundrasing, to build more buddist school in china

  • not all of us have access to guns and bombs.. but we cud use kitchen knives >=D

  • I know shaolins own all but.. i never knew they would show off like this.. I thought theyre supposed to be in temples meditating and being humble

  • nice ... i liked the comments u added to the vid :)) pretty funny

    gj

  • really cool i wanna learn too but how in Turkey :(

  • i went to this show.. i went to the one in oakland and the one in sunnyvale and cupertino.. i had free tickects.. i knew one of the monks..

  • lol...all have probably trained in Shaolin...none are monks...*you can tell by there poses and Lack of heart *for example...the pales at the end were waterless...in Shaolin training...the monkey poles are performed regularly with Pales full of water* meaning either these "monks" still have a long way to go...or ...there not monks :)

  • Omg. I bet u dont know a thing about martial arts/kung fu and so on... This is a damn performance idiot. If they used real water then it would wet the stage u dumbshit and then they would have to fucking clean it up. Ignorance period. and if they were trained by monks then they are monks lmao ur a total idiot.

  • wuts the poing of the last 1?

  • That whip chain guy is crazy

  • video super excelente

  • ey... i was here lol.. isaw this... ahahha

  • haha really? lol that's cool, i didn't think it was that good though. did you?

  • it was ok ahahah. i watched a lot shaolin demos,,, and they're pretty much the same stuff. lol. except the sparring sets, i believe they changed those.

  • they probabaly did, the blindfold's thigns was soo phoney haha, you probably could have seen throught the frabric...oh yea haha my friends and i went backstage after the show, alot of the props are like made to NOT hurt you lol. do you take shaolin?

  • ya the blades are not even real, i tried to do it myself... it kinda hurts tho. no i take contemporary wushu.

  • oh that's tight, i alwyas wanted to take wushu

  • i practis modern wushu like the beijing wushu team with shaolin monks:D

  • Ultimate Martial arts HANDS DOWN!

  • Danged impressive.

  • i can do that sort of shit when im stoned.. im serious

  • lol that is soo true....haha

  • I want to do that ^_^

  • did someone say bukaki?

  • Kung-fu is With no Comparisson the best and most complete martial Art!!! That's why, Kung-fu generates Much polemic amoung all martial arts comunity and in all Discussions forums!!! So, do you think kung-fu is not good or is fake? Why do you come here writing such as comments and making advertisement of your martial arts school? dont be so poor!!!! we dont have anything to prove, we are calm and peacefull artists!!!

  • snuffle1, it's called chi gong, did u ever heard of yoga? that's the same thing

  • What? it is not the same thing lol

  • i wish i could do that

  • Im pretty sure the bending spf isears stuf fake, you can give me focusing energy or whatnot all you want but I'm a realist and human flesh is not harder than steel. Let me take a gun and shoot them and when the bullet bounces off ill be impressed.

  • shut up.

  • That's a really common demonstration of the power of chi.

  • well its not like the charged head on

  • @snu Fucking true man ur rock !!!

  • Lot of kids in here today.

Get back to the dojo, chilluns.

  • it's sad how many people think this is lame, stupid, or just a waste of time. i personally dare any one of you to get three of your most powerful friends and challenge one shaolin monk. i can guarentee you won't walk away from it, as they don't just use their bodies to fight. but their hearts, minds, and spirits as well.

  • what?! Youre kidding right?

  • stfu you dumb newbs

  • I suppose, in theory, kung fu is an effective martial art. In mixed competition it has not made much of a mark. Maybe the true masters refuse to compete, who knows?

  • I'll take up martial arts the day when it stand up in honest debate against a Glock 25 or comparable.

  • So you want to have an honest debate about a unfair comparison?

    That's dumb.

    /all hail sevenstarblowjobsforgaysailors

  • In combat all discussion about fairness is moot. The only thing that is important is who is left standing when the dust settles. I used the term 'discussion' as a metaphore, if it was not clear, for combat using martial arts versus a properly used fire arm. And in that context I am not interested in succumbing to superior skill after a valiant fight. Fuck that. I want to do it to them before they do it to me.

  • well what about a regular person with a glock vs. a kung-fu person with a glock? during the reload time, the regular person will totally get fucked up in that "honest debate," provided that the kung-fu guy doesn't get shot first.

  • A very valid point. It does depend on who the regular person is and how much trainig they had. I've seen videos, even here on YouTube, that show people reloading fast, very very fast. If you blink you missed it. Of course our average Shaolin priest is going to be swift as the striking lightning but he better not hesitate. I'll still take a chance with the Glock. I'm going to have to. There's no way I'd ever be good enough to become a Shaolin priest.

  • dont even bother trying to debate with the all powerful internet martial art master that is sevenstarblow. He obviously has been in billions of fights and knows all forms of every kind of fighting style. He is such an internet badass that just by disagreeing with him, you no longer know anything about anyone, and your point is moot. All hail sevenstarblow, and his amazing presence. Thank you for enlightening us here on the youtube!

  • Never claimed to be a master of anything, nor have I claimed to have been in billions of fights. In fact I would never reveal that kind of information to anyone, even classmates. Internet badass? hardly, but you sit behind your computer baiting people and I doubt you would be so brave in person. Do you even practice martial arts?

  • Whoa whoa whoa, calm down there. I'm on your side buddy! don't beat me up on the internet!

And yeah, I would be that brave in person. It isn't that hard to be sarcastic to someones face.

As far as martial arts go, I just do BJJ and Wrestling, nothing too fancy.

  • being sarcastic in someones face isnt the point, not getting tossed is. Dont flatter yourself into thinking anyones needs calming down either, youre silly ass posts dont carry that much weight. As for beating you up on the internet, thats a ridiculous thing to say. You seem certain though that I am an internet warrior, only one way to be sure though. buddy.

  • You must be a beautiful person. I bet you enjoy tossing :)

But seriously, if you get upset when someone is sarcastic to you, maybe you should step back and wonder where you went wrong in your life. Don't take your frustrations out on me tough guy.

  • rofl

  • well said bakudai

  • I have much respect for wushu. But every tournament I or my students have fought them in they get torn up. This is because Karate is the evolution of Gung-fu. Karate took the best from it, added indigenous Okinawan Te' and field tested it against armed Samurai.

    Any Dissenters?

  • @nandansho I practice gung fu and I agree that karate is its evolution. However, each martial art is supremely effective in the hands of the right master.

Personally I'd put my money on the British method - invent gun; shoot opponent; rule world.

  • @Erandir03 obviously Chinese invented gunpowder and there's been a similar more serious argument about glocks going on, but let's not let facts get in the way of comedy :P

  • @Erandir03 The Chinese invented the GUN, The idea of Ruling The World goes against The way and ensures defeat. India a country of Diaper wearing pacifists removed The UK from their borders and politics. China is Strong but never seeked to "Rule the World" and China's culture is over 5000 years old.

  • those robe thingy that they swing, I think if a one dollar coin was to attached on one end, anyone got a hit from that will see that coin inside ur skull.

  • its called a rope dart

  • sorry i still think this is wu shu. wif sunts.

  • Whys first comment being ignored? The monk threw the needle through the sheet of glass. Phenomenal. In fact the only reason Im not a Shaolin Bhudist is they don't allow blowjobs.

    (-8E

  • He threw a neddle through a piece of glass and popped the balloon.

  • he took a a paper clip or a needle and sent it through the glass and popped the balloon.

  • This is so gay, this is just like in Seattle and everywhere else...

  • Im am only going to make one comment. sevenstar you obviously have never fought an iron palm practitioner.

once you get the iron body "skill" lets call it, you dont have "steel up" anything it is with them 24/7 and hurts like a motherfucker.

  • you dont know anything about what I have or havent done, and I certainly dont need to dignify such a ridiculous comment as this with a direct answer to someone I dont know and could care less about.

  • These monks have way to much time on their hands.

when they are not praying their busting their balls with bamboo

  • I am all for people practicing hard to develop something, but forget about scientific analysis, we are talking about MARTIAL arts. Does it work? great.

Alot of this stuff works for demos because people like to see it, but off the stage and on the street is another story. You think someone is going to wait for you to "steel" up your iron body skills before trucking you all over street? Think again. Good exericse it may be, but practical "martial" arts it is not.

  • I agree with you

  • It's interesting that you say don't make assumptions about others b/c you seem to be making an assumption that these gentlemen don't practice a martial art. Unless you have first hand knowledge of their traing practices, you are making an assumption. The point of a demo is to do things people like to see. If it wasn't exciting, who would show up.

  • are we talking about the demo or how and what these guys train privately/ on their own. I certainly dont know and neither do you. I will say though that alot of those flashy sets arent mastered overnight, so I do know to some degree what they are practicing and again, my point is that is not gung fu but performance art.

  • Whats practical martial arts?? is it not the conditioning of the body too, is it not excercising muscles, and also building stamina and endurance??? almost every art have fancy things to dispaly, its a way to gain popularity. Maybe it the display maynot seem useful, but they practice other things too. A puch is a punch and a kick is a kick.

  • Too many people make assumptions. Do you really believe you are making an argument or just adding more convoluded garbage to an already tired thread. Thanks for chiming in though. Punch is a punch, kick is a kick is true to a beginner, but correct power generation, alignment and precision are something totally different.

  • They train as more than you eat and sleep. (figure of speech in case ur a dumbass) With their training im pretty sure they can fight, if not take hits for sure. They condition since they were 5 years old, what makes you thing they can't take out a MMA fighter in their weight category?? Think further than what you see please.

  • again the assumptions, youre pretty sure they can fight? Why? the majority of martial artists I know have never been in a real fight or ever faced the reality and harshness of real fighting. Have you? And why can they take hits for sure? Your justification makes you sound like a naive little fanboy. I do think further then what I see, unfortunately and ironically you do not. This is entertainment, not real.

  • I am 100% sure that if some *street fighter* were to hit one of them, that would get teared up limb from limb, they know were to hit, they have power and speed in their hits and blocks, if you train martial arts you should be able to put it in use, if you can't then you problaly don't train good, and being able to do this in a demonstration in a fancy way doesnt mean they cant use it in a efficient way in a fight.

Honestly i don't think a monk could even be hit by a street fighter.

  • Yeah. I'm sure you're a real tough guy. Needle dick.

  • I'd like to see you fight one ;)

  • You would bet your life on that? Good gung fu is in the hands of the practitioner, not in affiliation. What makes you think they would tear me or anyone limb from limb, I dont believe we have met. Perhaps they would tear you limb from limb and you have every right to say so, but dont make assumptions about others.

  • I am not sure if this is a general statement but unfortunately you are wrong in your comment.

  • he's basically showing he can throw a tiny needle through a pane of glass, and the ballon popping on the other side shows that the needle actually went through

  • There is scientific proof of both of these, obviously scientists wanted to know how these feats were accomplished, and they are not parlor tricks. Look for yourself, research bone regrowth. Go challenge a monk. No matter how passive they are, if you assault one, I will bet my life, given that you didn't shoot him with a gun or something cheap, he would tear you limb from limb. :)

  • You can break metal bars on your head, provided you pummel your head on a daily basis. And you can take hits to the groin gracefully, provided the nerves in your groin are dead or weakened severely. Some people just don't have the 'balls' to realize that.

  • I don't agree with calling it fake, or gymnastics, for a couple of reasons. Number one, kung fu or gung fu, however you say it, is still just latin alphabetations of the same thing. Number two, wushu does not cover more select arts of shaolin origin such as iron man (Hsing-I)

  • is good but it is not kungfu of trad. shaolin it ist"shaolin modern wushu"

  • Yes,you're right. Wushu is a term now meaning the athletic perfomance of martial arts alike. The purpose

of it is exercise, one of the many ways to gain health. Real martial arts is for fighting, and is only

certain particular groups like police, army allowed to

    train with.

  • jeesh, more wushu under the veil of shaoilin kung fu. Guys this stuff is all parlor tricks, sure they have some impressive athletic prowess, but nothing special or magical. Its sad really; soundtracks, announcers and flimsy tin foil wushu swords. Dont be fooled, real gung fu is dying and this does not help

  • dude, the guy broke a staff hitting the guy's balls. That is a classic Shaolin "iron egg" technique.

  • heheheh. "iron egg" huh. Let me re-iterate, parlor tricks. Nothing more. I doubt if many westerners have seen "classic" shaolin gung fu. I call it as I see and that my friend is wushu. Thats all.

  • there are other videos on youtube showing shaolin ppl kick their crotch, punching their neck, and hanging by the neck as trainning.

  • Just because there are more videos posted of something doesnt make it more legitimate. You should do more research, or at least pretend to not be totally clueless when you post remarks. You like this stuff, then practice it. Waste your own time.

  • frankly Im sick of people trying to justify wushu as "martial" arts. Martial being the key word. Seems wushu people dont like the stigma of being performing artists, makes no difference to me. I'm comfortable in what I am doing, I have nothing to prove to anyone. Just calling it how I see it. Peace

  • then why are you arguing with me you retard?

    Just shut up please.

  • do you mean it's fake?

  • They pull a giant stone block with their testicals every day. Unfortunatley i don't think they can reproduce. But, it is in ways "Magical" There are such things as superhuman, not the superhuman you see in comic books. But humans that exceed what humans can do as a being. Brains is over bronze..but you need both to sustain a species we call human.

  • Cont'd

They wake up and train every day. From punching a wall to make a hole. To resisting a spear with the throat. It is no trick. They call it "Chi". Strength comes from the mind. Building muscles alone at a gym does nothing to make you "STRONGER" to become stronger, your mind must BE stronger. In the video, you see them compressing air with their hands to their stomach. They do that to "Relieve pain". Chi is not an object, it is all mind. They do that, so they feel no pain.

  • did you mean to say "brains over brawns"' Actually you say the spear to the throat is not trick. You are dead wrong friend. Dont know what your qualifications are but I have intimate knowledge of this "trick" and even know people who perform it in demos. Think what you want, but you should make sure you are 100% sure of things before making proclamations of such. And calling chi "mind strength" is incorrect. Sure the mind is integral in development, but so is hard "external" energy.

  • yeahhh brains over brawns..it was like 4 am. I'm over 110 percent sure. Because a friend of my dads...friends..friends..friend = shaolin. This video, it was a bit of a trick. The swords are fake. But the acual training, the spears are real. And they don't do it at an angle. The jab a spear at your throat, and have you walk into it. (Stupid 500 chars)

  • thats right, they do it at an angle, therefore the actual tension is not at the throat but in the middle of the spear shaft, thereby alleviating the actual point pressure. The guys I know (hung ga) who do this generally walk stright in until the spear breaks. But ask them and even they are slightly embarrased to do this demo as even they know the truth. How about instead of me calling it "fake", I will call it misleading.

  • /agree

  • you seem to have some actual knowledge about this, nice discussing with you. Mo lum yut ga.

  • tehy just performers not authentic it hink sum1 said

  • How can you not love these guys? lol

  • whats the point of eating glass? He'll end up with an arsehole like a chewed orange

  • fucking lol.

  • awsome movie

  • they're prob still marginally reluctant to show off all their shaloin stuff. although if you go to shaolin.net or .org or .com or sth.. google...:P... you can read "manuals" on all the secret techniques of the shalolin... thru-wall-finger-jabs and stuff.. those are pretty... crazy... too bad this clip didn't show the guy breaking the spear by pushing it against his throat!

  • Very good gymnastics and wushu dancing. But I am yet to see a Shaolin Kung Fu sparring video using Shaolin forms in their sparring. They should join the circus. It suits them.

  • You guys gotta see the National Geographic documentary about this. Amazing

  • Sounds cool, where can you get it?

  • oh, sorry to reply with so much delay :| You can download it at emule, since it was removed from youtube :|

  • surgi surgi

  • they keep amazing me each time i see them do stuff

  • very beautiful forms

  • ya those shaolin monks can do some amazing shit.

  • That was sick. That was just crazy with all the spears against that guy and him not getting injured, not even a scrath. And the four fingers hand stand, or two finers, which ever you call it, was amazing. Too bad you didn't zoom out so we could see the whole body in the air.
