  • He is holding them correctly. They should only be held near the chain when attempting to do a roll. The only bad part of this video is the waste of food...

  • Just pay me $40 and ill show you how to kick some ass with it. SEriously....

  • u owe me fuckin eye!

  • @ 1:41 is he afraid?:)

  • All this video did was give me a good laugh. Moving on....

  • I'm sorry if I upset anybody with my comment. I just meant to say that if you hold it higher you have more control and that is how to hold it in competitions. But there are a lot of different types of martial arts. Holding it lower will be more powerful and is more traditional but holding it lower is more accurate and gives you more control but can still maintain quite a bit of power. Use your nunchucks which ever way you're more comfortable with.

  • @64lundyco

    You also lose some reach.

  • If somebody tries to attack me with nunchucks, I will shoot them with bear mace

  • Yo :):P

  • NUNCHUCKS use for self defense... ! :)

  • Hit my nuts with the nunchucks. Thanks a lot howcast.

  • i keep seeing this budlight port paradise, is it really that fun?

  • lolololololol this was funny

  • I meant nunchaukes sry

  • There spelled nuncakus

  • you look like a total ass and that you dont know what youre doing when you hold them on the end like that. they are supposed to be held close to the chain

  • step 1: throw away the nunchucks

step 2: get away from the open space

step 3: sell the punching bag

step 4: tell the partner to get the f*ck out of your life

    step 5: fire the instructor

    step 6: eat the apple

  • Uh, if you're supposed to hold them so close to the chain, then explain why they make nunchaku with grooves in the wood near the opposite end for grip, would you please? By the way, that would limit your range and power, which matters if you're not just using these things as batons.

  • hahhaahahah loook how he's hitting the sack at 1:39 omg so funny !!!! look at his eyes

  • apple!

  • -hey,hey apple?

    -What?

    -Nunchucks!

  • THIS VIDEO IS WRONG! i have been practicing various martial arts for 8 years and practicing nunchucks (nunchaku) for 6 years. You should hold them one inch away from the top/chain. This will make it far easier to control and you will avoid losing your grip and/or hitting yourself. Holding nunchucks closer to the top is a universally accepted method and, if you notice, is how everyone in the suggested videos is holding their nunchucks.

  • @64lundyco i know right?? sometimes they get it wrong. i just started practicing nunchucks. ive only hit myself in the nads twice :) lol

  • @64lundyco cant say that do you know what style this is? they all have there own small variation and techneques, look at the three okinawan karates all have there own variation on almost every techneque

  • @64lundyco "a universally accepted method"? As someone remarked, you don't have to use them as batons. I could be wrong, but I don't think you see Bruce Lee doing many wrist rolls in his fight scenes.

  • @Belgianmeth it gives you more control in general

  • Comment removed

  • @64lundyco - Maybe you have been doing it wrong for 6 years. More importantly, there are more than 1 way to do an activity. I actually prefer the method in the video, as it would produce more "damage results" rather than "demonstration results". Most of the videos I have seen are for show.

  • @64lundyco what is wrong with you i am 52 years old praticed at age 16 still today am one of the best nunchuck user and still as good as the best will put video on you tube you are wrong i dont know who told you this wow

  • @64lundyco i have been practicing various martial arts for three months now, so forgive me if i am wrong. Your comment is correct, and in a fight, you should hold it one inch away from the chain for easier manipulation . HOWEVER, holding it one inch from the bottom i think gives more power (at least that is what my instructor said).

  • @64lundyco No, YOU are wrong. This says nothing about freestyle chucking. This is an example of combat chucking. Why else would they say to practice on a bag? If I was gonna fight somebody with chucks I'd laugh if they held it by the chain. You rob yourself of power and reach. Holding by the chain is only really for demonstration or "freestyle"

  • @johnedlin7 well yes of corse but i never said to hold it by the chain. also i posted another comment stating that it can be held differently for different purposes

  • @64lundyco I didn't mean it literally. I mean they would be a fool to hold it up by the top near the chain. You get way less momentum which means less power. Not to mention reach. So if you understood there are different ways to hold it for different things, why would you say the video is wrong? He is clearly showing a "real" nunchaku style, not some flashy freestyle

  • @johnedlin7 that was what i said nine months ago and i have since then made another comment stating exactly what you brought up. i'm sorry but i can't control what people thumbs up on youtube.

  • @64lundyco Fair enough, I didn't want to sound like a jerk, but you just made such a strong statement. Take care and keep chucking :D

  • waste of apples! do water baloons!

  • Co za asy

  • @BendikThe97 haha rwj!

  • That apple just exploded

  • They are asking the wrong dude. Where's Chuck Norris?!

  • an apple? really?

  • i was waiting for him to hit himself in the balls haha

  • Nunchaku, I had that for lunch.

  • In Soviet Russia, nuns chuck you!

  • In Soviet Russia nun chucks chuck you

  • It called a nut creaker now

  • ok what weapon didint come from food gathering tool (trident-fishing) (sickle-grain harvesting) and so on and so forth

  • i didnt know nuns had chucks.

    >.<

  • He the awesome.

  • Is he calling it nuMchucks?

  • step 1: nutshot.
