i just bypassed the stock boost regulator. it hit 20 psi if i pushed it real hard. usually ran about 18psi tho. was nice when i put a saab intercooler in it. made it a top mount like the wrx.
I will tell you the 2.3 will blow up with 26psi if it is not heavily modified. My buddy pushes 18-21psi with a big turbo and the only thing that is stock is the block.
Awesome and unique car! My brother had one (an automatic, stock.) with a bad wastegate. It was really fast and under constantly in the red zone on stock boost gauge... or really slow and just plain sucked to ride in.
he eventually sold it/gave it away and went to the navy, and I got myself a lil car with a stick shift.

With 26 psi, you're making less power than you would with 20 on the stock t3 turbo. Also, stock head gaskets don't like anything more than 18psi.

need to put a big intercooler on to get any benefit out of 26 psi your just making hot air above 13psia, i run 22 with stinger IC.

I only boosted my stock turbo to 21 PSI and I had Speedpro pistons. Stock turbo seems to be out of its efficiency range at over 22 i though.
