Seems that the cheapest way would be to make your own. The cheapest i have found that wasnt rotting and in bad shape was around £7,500 and still needed alot of work. I really wish we still saw more of these. It appears in my area there are no REAL gypsies left, i dont know what type of people these are that call themselves gypsies but they drive their caravans and the horses are always in bad shape, skinny, full of worms, rain scald etc bring back real gypsies!!
I'm from Daphne's Caravans. We actually made the vardos displayed in the picture at 2:18 and a friend of ours did the last one (and earlier shot of the same one)
craftywytch.....getting an old one costs a bomb but if your handy with wood there not to hard to make, the bow tops that is, the reading ones are a lot harder. ive been involved on a few builds. am currently working on designs for one i'll be making in a year or so when i can afford it. should get done for 1500, maybe 2000 depending how things go :s

They're so beautiful and artistic. I love drawing them and the Gypsy Vanner horses that pull them. I want one so bad.
