No the sprites are normal actually. The problem is that the ps2 does this WIERD thing when a game slows down and looks like it's running at 320x240 or something.

The notion that the PS2 can't handle this game is absurd. If it can run SF3 and GG:AC just fine, it can run this. Apparently it's just that nobody at EXAMU knows how to program competantly for the PS2.

Yep,that was i'm talking about. Since doing physical combos on her is impossible (let alone if Shadow Ally is activated), the only way i can beat her was to kill her allies, fill my psypher and spam Whirlwind as much as possible.

Get a PAL PS2 or a mod on your system. There is an option to change it to NTSC when you start the game. Check gamefaqs board for Odin Sphere for more info

It's her "boss" Arcana. Health and super bar regeneration is continuous through the batte. The crystalis move protects her from all damage and fills her super bar to nine. It dosen't t stop the health regen.

he probably burned the game with 1x or 2x speed. if it's burned with 4x speed the music doesn't lag at all.

i doubt the actual game cd has some of those problems. they usually come from bad burns or badly dumped isos.

Oh well... I thought it was hilarious how many voice overs and sound effects were missing...then there's the slow down. Horrible pixelation, stop and hiccup during the instant kill and background animation. The list just goes on and on!! And my GOD the sound effects are so uneven. lol music stops. Also, is it just youtube, my eyes or something? Because the characters look like...super pixelated sometimes. Like the ps1 version of jojo's bizzare adventure

they probably lowered the sprite resolution to regular fighting game size (like sf1-3, kof etc) for the new characters rather than the default higher res one to conserve memory.

also some of those problems come from incorrect iso dump or bad dvd burn.
