@VViitard Actually loading is quite easy. There is a rubber stopper on the rear of the receiver that when removed, reveals a fill port. Simply take a funnel and insert it into the port and pour the BB's in.

The Piper's Precision Products Gatling Gun actually feeds from a large internal hopper rather than the magazine. The hopper itself is basically inside half of the brass colored receiver while the magazine is purely cosmetic.

Unfortunately the design does not permit velocities any higher than about 280 FPS. However the same manufacturer makes the M-134A2 Vulcan which is capable of 250 - 625 FPS using airsoft plastic BB's and 425 FPS using 6mm steel BB's.

However that company does not work with gunpoweder based weapons due to the complexity of involving real bullets and the legal complications. The market would also much more limited for the final product than if its air powered.

I'm not the manufacturer so I don't know the specific details of how the Piper's Precision Products Gatling Gun works exactly. But the magazines are strictly cosmetic and their is an internal hopper that holds BB's. As the barrels rotate they pick up a BB and chamber it then the barrel rotates pass the air valve which then fires the BB. Its very similiar to how the Piper's Precision Products M-134A1 and M-134A2 Vulcan Miniguns work.

The weapon holds 2,500 rounds and can fire 10 rounds per revolution of the hand crank and will average about 40 rounds per second. At that rate of fire, one can fire continually for a little over one minute continually before out of BB's.
