I remember seeing this promo on TV back in New York. The minute I saw the scene with Mr. Prune, I instantly said, "He's the villain!" Five years old back then, and I already knew how to tell good guys from bad guys.

@yumasight if u watch the making of the christmas that almost wasnt at the end there is a promo or ad at the bottom of the screen that say how u can get the movie on dvd i am probably gonna try and get it , loved the movie when i was a kid i think it is a never shown classic christmas movie and dont know why it is never on or widely available

This 18 minute short consists of an extended interview with producer/CHILDHOOD PRODUCTIONS president, Barry Yellen. My hope is that this online 'featurette' will serve as a springboard for a more in-depth documentary on CHRISTMAS THAT ALMOST WASN'T and the 1960's kiddie matinee phenomenon (branching from THE WONDER WORLD OF K. GORDON MURRAY" documentary... out next year). The short WILL include rare stills and behind the scenes information about the making of the film.
