After watching a bit more, Pikachu should try to do more USmashes. Aerials on Pikachu aren't a good KO strategy, and Usmash can KO around 95% sometimes.
Lastly , ness boy whats wrong with you spam that forward air , it has alot of priority ,and also it gives you a nice counter when being hit. PLUS you should definetly wave dash , whats the point in having a quick wave dash if you don't use it , but you seem to have the up B down ,just be more precise about your movements. Wait before i forget use the combo ....sheild grab , down throw , forward smash. do that you are sure to deliver at least 20-22 damage points.
man.....pika abuse the tail whip and use your speed to your advantage. Also try to fight with him a little differently because his attacks are made to suprise and throw there pika's enemies off balance.

The Ness leaves himself open wayyy too much. If he learned some short hop combos, he could be better. Also he uses pk fire too much which leaves him open to attacks. The Pikachu was pretty good though.
Double jump cancels are a must for Ness. He needs to move more, learn some advanced techniques, and get in touch with deeper styles of the game. I'm guessing your friend doesn't play too often.
First, use the shield and try shieldgrabs, second, some DJCs combined with the BAir, which is quite powerful, next you need to learn how to sweetspot edges with Pk Thunder, since you could have blasted Pikachu out of the way on the last stock instead of bumping and falling, lastly don't F-smash and pk fire too much, try to aim or use FAir, which can stun opponents and deal a decent amount of damage. I'm a Ness user, so maybe you should check out my Ness VS Roy video for some tips.
The Ness prolly needs to learn to SHFFL. Also, when the opponent is trying to recover, you should try and fire a Pk thunder at them. Prolly won't kill them, but it's free damage. Can't complain about that.
ness needs to move around more, dont just stand there. RUN, WAVEDASH, DASHDANCE. time your moves correctly, especially your bat, dont just bat randomly. use air moves more, dont just stand on the ground and tilt. and EDGEGUARD!!!
