  • auchh eso es muyy doloroso

  • too much argueing here on which is better, lets face it: ROAD IS THE BEST SPORT ON THIS PLANET, it is also the toughest and most hardcore, mma fighters can suck my dick cuz they are a bunch of faggy-ass tards. cycling (mtb or road....preferably road!) is a life sport. not very many others are.

  • @pdunklau Also known as a discipline.

  • @tucnasam Oh yeah man, discipline is a requirement just to survive the road!

  • @abahawas, your kidding me right? Are you telling me playing a game of hockey or soccer any of those sports is more mentally challenging then bike racing? I bet you have never been on a ride further then the corner store, trust me, being on a bike for over 6 hours takes a lot more mental strenght and physical fitness then ANY of those other sports

  • @hardcorefrom94 fuck the world

  • why are we talking bout bicycles and motorcycles they have nothing in common except two wheels and u have to be fit to ride a bike and actually athletic. fat people can go fast on motorcycles

  • owwwwwwww

  • the only good thing about crashing is most of the time they are self cleaning !

  • @hardcorefrom94

    For The Win

  • so harsh 'In the ditch!'

  • im a roadie, mountain biker etc etc.....I would never ride a motorcycle at speeds plus 140; if you think that you can watch the Isle of Man TT then come back and discuss

  • People, before you make a comment about being tougher than us roadies.....Go out, ride 140 miles with aroud three or four 20 km. climbs and take a 35 mph blow and get right back up to continue your race....then make your comment, ill even let you borrow my specialized

  • @1bigmig1 ...what? Are you trying to be serious?

  • VESTIA,,, QUE GOLPE MAS FUERTE,,,,,, UNO DE LOS POCO DEPORTE QUE AUNQUE STES LESIONADO, GOLPEADO..PUEDES SEGUIR COMPITIENDO....MI RESPETO A ESTE DEPORTE,,ES MI VERDADERA PASION.-.... y a pesar de todo siguio la competencia...

  • VESTIA,,, QUE GOLPE MAS FUERTE,,,,,, UNO DE LOS POCO DEPORTE QUE AUNQUE STES LESIONADO, GOLPEADO..PUEDES SEGUIR COMPITIENDO....MI RESPETO A ESTE DEPORTE,,QUE ES MI VERDADERA PASION

  • Keep pressing 3.

  • Who was doing the commentary? Was it the Muppets?

  • IN THE DITCH!!!!

  • I fell off my road bike due to a road defect and fractured my left hip, I was back on the bike 5 weeks after surgery...... I love this frickin sport!!

  • @Stethoscope01 Dude Ive done the same, both sides over 2 years im all plates and screws now. I was told long term cyclists are vunerable to this- and the quickest safest rehab is... cycling! straight back racing.

  • @talkto20john

Thanks for the reply bro. You must have had it bad for those 2 years man...I hope you recovered well. Ride safe.

  • This footage worries me - I've cornered far sharper than that on clinchers and never lost grip, though I suppose perhaps not as fast. Chapeau to him for carrying on, but they always do :D

  • helmet saved him ......

    always wearing one

  • thats why you should always wear your helmet, in the video you can see that the reason why he didn't crack his head open is because of his helmet....

  • @STARCRAFT2OWNER Go play Starcraft

  • @STARCRAFT2OWNER I could make a few comments on other interests in life BUT - each to their own fun' in my eyes...

  • @STARCRAFT2OWNER Starcraft is gay and don't ask me why.

  • Oh, my god!

  • OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FUCK

  • Been there, done that, got the rasperries!

  • glad to know the catlike helmet can take a pounding. its the same one ive got.

  • @alajet No bicycle helmets can "take a pounding". If you crash with it, get a new one.

  • @0:21, and that's why helmets were invented!

  • THOSE DAMN TUBULARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @glozick tubs are actually better gripping than clinchers...

  • HAHA. I don't even care if you thumbs this up... but please click the video and press 3 over and over.

    hahahaha

  • Crashing at 40 mph in lycra is one thing, but getting up and CARRYING ON?! He's hardcore.

  • Helmet rules

  • Of Course an Irishman get up! IRISH PRIDE!!!!!

  • his head bounced...0_o

  • Helmet saved his life.

  • Helmet FTW...

  • @CycleClimber those catlike ones look sick too :)

  • @ithinksasukeiscool They do look pretty spiffy lol, and people in the States can get them now since they were recently certified for the U.S market.

  • huha... that hurts

  • WATCH THIS! WATCH THIS!WATCH THIS!WATCH THIS!WATCH THIS!WATCH THIS!WATCH THIS!WATCH THIS!WATCH THIS!WATCH THIS!WATCH THIS!WATCH THIS!

    ''CERVELO TOMAHAWK SPRINT TEST"

  • "in the ditch!" the spokesperson sounded a little too excited about that

  • @mdoub lol was thinking the same thing

  • Painful wow brave enough to go back and race good thing he wore helmet if not he is busted.

  • imagine not having a helmet there

  • I agree with Jur0.I am also enjoying cycling and it is a hard sport but really

    great.

  • Had a very similar crash this summer in a tri comp. My tyre went flat, but I don’t know if it was a cause or result of the crash. I just lost all grip on my front wheel in a downhill curve similar to this one. I was wearing sleeveless tri-suit, so I ended up rolling some skin from shoulder to calf. -> twitpic(dot)com/ 29pmkh

  • @TubePlanet

know the feeling. I spent 3 months at home unable to work after a similar fall. I hit the road face first so was not lucky enough to have the protection of my helmet.

  • I'd take a road rash over a broken clavicle any day.

  • yes, his head would be paste if he hadn't been wearing a lid.

  • hu hu hu hu

  • Aww.. Hims fall down on his bicyclee an getta owwiee?

  • poor philip eating tarmac, wonder is he in the tour de france this year??

  • i dont understand what happened here. where did the grip go?

  • 0:21 Without a helmet, his head would've been cracked open like a pinata. Still amazes me to see the local idiots around here busting down 12% hills without helmets on. Natural selection at work, I guess...

  • @lightnangles

    Natural selection indeed.

  • good reason to wear a helmet

  • Yep. A Rugby player or American football player gets hit hard for maybe an hour at most, then gets to recover.

A pro cyclist gets hit hard for 6 hours every day for a month during Tour de France.

Again for 3 weeks in Giro, about same in Swiss tour etc etc etc all year.

Nobody knows pain like pro cyclists

  • i kind of hate these commentary guys.

  • ....and kids, this is why you ALWAYS wear a helmet....

  • Almost like he hit an oil slick..freakish

  • he was looking for mushrooms in the grass, he got a tip off there were some on that corner

  • Where was the luck of the Irish ? Looked a bit painful for sure....

  • ME WEE MATE HARD AS NAILS

  • Thats saftey of helmets for you. That thing clearly saved his life =D among other things.

  • in the detch!!

  • @ZippOnFire yep and back up

  • ouuccchhh

  • in the jare nawer a petecander fistro diodenal

  • never even TOUCH your brakes in this kind of cornering....

  • @JimexJimex

those where his rear brakes, he slid with the front tire, must have been gravel, sand.

  • @JimexJimex SURE YoU WOULD know ahe

  • rolled the tub id say.

  • @wanmaker nop oil

  • @wanmaker nop oil

  • good they got their helmets

  • good thing he was wearing his helmut

  • A good video to show to the ciclists who say that helmet is for fags...

  • I've done that. I had a crank arm fail during a sprint. OUCH!

  • ow :(

  • ouch dude .. i felt that one .. hey though look what happens later in the season !!

  • Rely 1700 hunderd euros thats all fuck , I cycle with philip,s club in letterkenny Co Donegal only met him once seems like a nice guy, well hope after his stage win in the Vuelta that its a sign of things to come.

  • It was awful to watch at the time and which of

us would have predicted this turnaround in the Vuelta, it was so lean after Roche and Kelly, welcome aboard. Donegal rain pays off for once, if the guards pull you driving without a brolly, questions are asked.

  • it hutrs to much :(

  • i give him props for gettin up after that

  • It was uphill!

  • i would even cry

  • thats because u r a fag

  • ouch! know what sucks. we all go down eventually. I just hope i dont go down as hard as this guy. these pros seem to just bounce back from it. If i just crash because i clip out its instantly a quarter sized scrape + bruising let alone what happens if i crash at speed sweet video tho

  • cyclist in lycra+40mph+crash= toughest athletes in the world

  • some of them are only paid 1700 euros per month. thats ridiculous compared to the wages of football players for example who earn that amount in a day.

    cycling is tough sport!

  • @MacTobey yeah but the audience for cycling is very low !!

  • @Beadle87:

i wouldnt say very low. lower than in football in general, but just look at how many spectators watch paris-roubaix or any other classic race. the roads at the legendary mountains during the tour de france are overcrowded. or remember the tdf stage the lead through germany a couple of years ago, where more than 1 million people stood in the streets!

  • @Beadle87 Well you cant say these guys arent tough. A lot of them fall down pretty damn hard, with speeds up to 60 of 70 km an hour, they break a wrist or something, and continue riding. If u think that isn't tough, ur gay :- )

    Well ur gay anyway. kisses

  • Being tough doesnt always require to benchpress alot and fight in a ring and bleed and still be standing on the feets. You try to climb 2 20km cliffs with an average climbrate of 7% and sometimes even 12% and when ur finally up u end up crushing ur head in the asphalt. They rise up, they go up on the saddle again, and the fkning start to race again! Roadracing athletes are the toughest in spirit and will. Its a shame not many sees that, u would have to try it to understand. Like I do. <3

  • Comment removed

  • @Jur0 u just ride its not that hard lol

  • @Jur0 try riding a 24 solo race on a mountainbike

  • @gpracer74 ....and alot of the time they get back up and carry on. AWESOME

  • @chummy93

Yeah in a race like this, you can't call time out.

  • @gpracer74 motorcyclests do this at 150 mph.. toughest athletes in the world? ur mentally challenged

  • @abahawas cyclists do this on descents at 60+mph with nothing separating them from the asphalt but a thin layer of lycra and a foam core helmet. oh, they also do the whole thing by their own volition.

no layers of protection and twisting a throttle.

  • @vapido dude cyclists aren't the toughest athletes in the world! ur all fuckin fanboys

  • @abahawas i didnt say they were. but they are definitely doing a tougher job than a motorcyclist. show me a sport that requires more mental and physical toughness. not to mention endurance, dexterity, and stamina.

and by fanboy, of course you must be also talking about yourself and your relationship to a sport you cant even spell. motorcyclest?

  • @vapido im not a motorcyclist fan.. im just letting u fanboys know that biking isnt the toughest sport in the world.. the guy i was originally responding to said that crashing on a bike at 40 mph makes them the toughest athletes in the world.. all i did was mention that motorcyclists crash at 150 mph, wouldnt that make them tougher? durrrrrr... and no one mentioned mental toughness, endurance, dexterity and stamina.. but since you bring it up here you go.. mma, rugby, football, hockey, lacrosse

  • @abahawas no it wouldnt. again: relate crashing a motorbike with all those pads and protection going 150 vs crashing a bike going 50 with no protection and getting back on and riding another maybe 20 maybe 90 miles. durrrr.....

and do tell me which of those sports has matches that last 4 hours a day for 3 weeks straight. oh wait, none of them do. durrrr.....

  • @abahawas I'm a fan of both sports..and cyclists are by far tougher. These guys power their own bikes..not a motor. Up mountains. Then to speeds around 70mph on downhills (I doubt you have the balls to go that fast on a peddle bike). They wear no leather padded suit. They do not wear full face helmets. They ride for 100's of miles for weeks 5,6,7 days in a row in cold, rain, heat, etc. They are physically and mentally stronger than most athletes. Ignorant people dog them because they are skinny.

  • @abahawas no we are fucking cyclists. football players have backups, runners never wipe out half as bad as we do, NO ONE comes close to the level of sportsmanship, dexterity, stamina etc that we do...mma fighters fight for 30 min we fight all day!rugby has breaks anddoctors and you can quit middle of an hour game..hockey players wear pads.we dont...we brave all our shit in lycra and shorts XD..lets see you ride a giro or tour de france and say your stupid shit..and what is your sport may i ask??

  • @abahawas sure they do.....with 50 pounds of armour. id like to see it attempted with only lycra and a peice of foam

  • tryed taht and it realy hurts...

  • Man he smashed his head down. Ouch!

  • THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID!

  • yiiiiikes, i jus hope i dont eat it like that
