  • ‎1967, During an appearance by The Jimi Hendrix Experience on Top of the Pops to plug their latest single, “Purple Haze,” a technician mistakenly put on the backing track to Alan Price’s “Simon Smith and His Amazing Dancing Bear,” to which Hendrix responded, “I don’t know the words to this one, man.”

  • Jimi with a live vocal everything else recorded

  • I red Jimi used a fender jazzmaster at one of the performance the experience did at Top of the pops. Does anyone out there has it? If so can u please post it? Thanks

  • wow it really sounds like he says "scuze me while I kiss this guy"

  • Yes, there is another 67 performance of Jimi and The Experience miming to the LP version of The Wind Cries Mary from Top Of The Pops. I believe both these clips yielded from the Hendrix Estate's Archival Holdings, are the only TOTP clips they have sadlyu. But at least good that these still exist today for fans of the music, and gerera to watch and enjoy. Many thanks for the great classic posting!
