@MrMaxguy1 Well, GX-01R and the SRC Mazinger Z both has their merits. The former has more accessories and play factor while the latter has better articulation. =)

OMG! A friend told me that the plastic upper legs of GX-01 is prone to cracking. is it true?!!! :-(

Hi, Charles! I just noticed that the upper legs (thighs) of both GX-01 and GX-02 are not die cast :-( but it's not what only annoys me...what annoys me is that the upper arms are die cast, so, is it visually noticed that there is a difference in material? Thanx.

@classicnemo Sadly the Great Mazinger GX-02R is very expensive now. Perhaps there might be a reissue in future.

What do you suggest: shall I buy "GX-01 & GX-02" or "GX-01R & GX-02R"...Which versions do you think are cooler, the original or the R ones? Thank you.

@VanDammedia I personally feel that the R versions are done better. But for a nostalgic touch, i'd go for the GX-01 and GX-02 since they are the 1st 2 SOCs.

Wow you are dedicated! I couldn't do it base on liking a game, but I actually first saw mazinger z or tranzor z on betacord tapes when I was like 5!!

So I've been a fan for around 20 or so yrs haha

Well somewhere around ep 55 or 60 of mazinger z the hover pilder was destroyed or badly wrecked...

An episode later the jet pilder you see on the 01R appeared :-)

@OptimusPrimeSG If your asking why the pilders a re different, Its because in the Original anime series, The jet pilder is damaged from an acid attack from a robot, so a new and improved Pilder called the Jet Pilder is made. Its faster, and more powerful than the previous one.
