  • 4:30 holy fuck I was singing along :(

  • Tantrum Barb is fucking amazing.

  • Watching this while high has led to a very very bad trip, I love animal collective but this is way too scary for me

  • FUCK. That loud ass noise made me jump so fucking high.

Awesome shit though, I can only imagine how awesome this would be on acid.

  • @xxZeroZonexx That's the exact same moment when I aborted the mission LOL

  • (rather the same way I enjoy AC's music.)

  • I'm surprised to find myself enjoying this. I was afraid it would be too avant-garde for me and I'd find it horribly boring, instead I'm just delighted by the weirdness!

  • I got here by searching for the classic Genesis song suite Working with Barbara's Tarantula. Pleasant surprise though.

  • Dude, next time you need helping setting up your kit just ask somebody.. We'd be glad to assist you.

  • This album just punches all the disloyal fans they gained from MPP in the face. I love it.

  • @frgrgfrdf thumbs up x10

  • @frgrgfrdf i think that down there and person pitch did that as well. Tomboy not as much

  • If by story telling you mean there are pictures of earlier scenes, then this is a great story

  • For those of you who don't realize, their is an underlying narrative, it's just layer back in your subconscious. Check out 4:00-4:08, the background shot (the red scene with Avey's character BENEATH the rest of the sonic fuzz) resembles a part of the film later on down into the story. So yes, a sensory overload, but story telling on a different plain.

  • @ZACHDISASTER way to over analyze shit fucktard, shut up and enjoy the trippy vid

  • Without doubts the best part of ODDSAC!

  • Mmm...Noah's shirt is open.

  • hoooooly shit, this is what i was looking for.. thanks ive been looking for this exact clip

  • Geologist is fucking hilarious.

  • just put that you didnt make this in the description. and you should put on the song before these with all the colors just swirling,

  • this is an experimental piece of video art.

so although it doesn't have a cohesive plot it is not meaningless.

the visuals and sounds are supposed to compliment each other and create a texture and feeling.

  • who else thought the rocks were small pebbles?

  • @noesteem219 haha, I did. Def. a part of the aesthetic. To lose your sense of perception.

  • @noesteem219 It felt so strange when you realised they weren't haha especially after all the bits before.

  • @noesteem219 not only did i think the rocks were pebbles when the person came on screen i was like 'what!? how!?'

  • @noesteem219 hahaha that must have been fucked up when noah walked on them

  • @noesteem219 ... exactly.. so cool

  • absolutely beautiful.

  • @nauseousqueasy well then what are you asking if its correct or not if its all up to your interpretation

  • i watched this vid on shrooms 2 days ago cuz my friend thought it would trip me out and it looked like he was walking on dead boddies and omfg it did but now im sober watching this and it looks like rocks.( mind blowing)

  • @kennyt216 i saw it on shrooms as well and it changed my life, i thought it was fucking amazing ahaha. the colors and music just enhanced everything

  • @kennyt216 same exact thing happened to me.

  • @kennyt216 They were everywhere!

  • @kennyt216 walking on the dead bodies of the earth

  • @kennyt216

I remember when I was coming down from an acid trip seeing photographs of rocks and wilderness landscapes and thinking literally EVERYTHING was just people painted to look like scenery. It was very awesome, but at the same time it kind of creeped me out. One of the greatest hallucinations I've ever had. At the time it wasn't very overwhelming or amazing, but thinking back on it, it was absolutely wonderful.

  • @kennyt216 dude i was just super baked and the looked like dead seals

  • Animal Collective and Danny Perez did not put countless acid/salvia/shroom trips and 4 full years of work into this film to make it meaningless.

  • thanks for posting

  • this film is all about interpretation but its interesting to try and figure out the intention the band had.

    white sky/ green trees/ rock

    white - consciousness/ mind

    green - heart chakra/ soul

    rocks - solidity / body

    mind/ soul / body

the guy represents consciousness or maybe thought? music goes with what the guy is feeling. the rest is all up to the viewer?

no idea if this is at all true, just an interesting thing that came to mind

  • @WalrusmiXtapes yea its not true, i was at the screening in new york and the band said outright the movie has no meaning they just wanted it to look and sound cool

  • @WalrusmiXtapes No that's awesome! You're awesome! That's what everyone should do be doing when they watch the film. Make their own interpretations!

  • @WalrusmiXtapes so incredibly overanalyzing

  • insane! enjoyed every minute of this film!
