I can't help but be perturbed by this. MAGIC? I know "magic is fun to Western society, because Disney is oh-so-cute", but last I heard, Walt Disney was no Christian.

Velvet Elvis is a theological shambles which in the first two chapters attacks everything that makes the Christian faith the Christian faith, including the divinity of Christ and the Bible. Basically, the way rob presents it, everyone can be messiah. Not to mention, he's a universalist and too obsessed with Judaism. The guy is a new ager.
