And finaly there is the look... put a GT next to a GT500 and the latter will steal the show... so I don't think we are talking about almost the same thing!!

@pkidro you could always get a mustang V6. Great mileage and a quick car. Performance would be similar if not better than your gt. I drive an audi 1.8T heavily modded with an aftermarket turbo. One thing I love is I'm putting down a ton of power yet it's amazing on gas. I'm considering selling it for a 2012 mustang v6 next year. Never been a mustang guy but ford has really stepped up their game

@cowhurter sorry i own a 04 cobra not a viper! i dont know what planet you live on but the viper has 600hp the new stang is 412hp which is more than a 100 less. it will get pretty ugly for the mustang and i am not a dodge fan at all. evan smith ran 11.90s with a stock 2010 gt500 and 11.50s on et streets! the mustang gt is a much better car now then it was last year but it doesnt have the oats to run with a viper or 2010 gt500

Why not? Forced induction only adds more power and efficiency to an engine without making the engine bigger and heavier. You can take the most powerful car in the world and still make it more powerful by adding in forced induction.

2011 GT hands down dude....that new 5.0 dohc is a beast...read all about it in the newest issue of mm&ff. it's got 412 hp and 390 ft/lbs of torque...it gets an all new 6 speed manual or auto whichever you choose (i'd go manual definately lol)...it has a lot of other cool stuff it's an amazing upgrade over the current 4.6 in every way. supposed to get 25 mpg too. it's beastly and being several hundred pounds lighter shouldn't have any problem dusting those camaro SS & challengers of the world
