Haha, it's so funny how a lot of people here try to knock down an economics professor by just saying she's an idiot or something without even basically arguing against her points in a rational way. Why not? Because you're no economists! Yes, you're entitled to your opinions but people here are saying things they don't know anything about.
If u don't know your history, then your bound to repeat it. I think it was sometime around the mid 1930's when FDR let the republican congress, convince him yo focus more on balancing the budget. FACT, Republicans have never balanced the budget.
She reminds me why it is time to elect grown-ups with real world experience and not just one-term senators. Only naive lib students would swallow that BS of a "growthless" recovery.
@milostea Well republicans have coined that phrase for the whole 8 years W. was in office. How many jobs were created under Bush? Try zero all you republican cumlipped corporate ass magnets.
So wouldn't a "growth-less recovery" be better defined as a plateau? If we're neither going significantly down nor up, then it can't be called a further recession, nor can it be called an actual recovery, right? And since when did we come out of the Great Depression in the '30s? The Great Depression persisted till after World War II. Yeah, this is the kind of economic genius I've come to expect from the Obama administration!
Her analysis is entirely circumstantial and she offered no insight into the problems she spoke about. Her speech was like an undergraduate econ major's poorly written term paper... overloaded with facts without reaching any conclusions... Just like President Obama does when he's preaching to reporters.
Just like an airhead academic...instead of offering a clear path to help the economy she just reduces it to semantics and redefines the condition as GROWTHLESS OMG how pathetic that this babe was in a position of influence in our government. I actually feel stupider for having listened to her for for 2 minutes.
This is what happens when you put moronic liberal academicians in charge of the government. Barack Obama personifies this description - an idiot with zero executive or real world experience, and America is paying the price for electing a Marxist ideologue.
FUCK OFF you bloody republicans - leave her alone. BUSH was total shit.
