Hey great video and thank you for sharing it. I really enjoyed seeing a very good piece of architecture and I think it is really good that some one is going to restore this magnificent castle. Do you know how old it is?
Hi all, I' a 4th year Fashion student from Amsterdam and I have been searching the web like crazy for a nice abandoned place (I prefer a castle since it fits my concept) for a photo shoot.
So far i have come up with sum nice places like Kasteel de Mesen but I have no clue in what condition it is right know since they have started demolishing it. And Kasteel Miranda (Chateau Noisy) is guarded.

Um this property doesn't look abandoned... we have a cut lawn tire tracks and other clues. i think its just temporary empty... i would be careful. if i found someone in my house when i came home i would pop a cap in that ass.
stunning as always - that wouldn't have lasted 5 minutes in the UK before it was smashed up by idiots with no respect. Lovely buildings and your shots capture the atmosphere beautifully :)
This property its amazing and magnificent. Its in a pretty good condition to be an abandoned castle and inside church. Perhaps some good people can take this place and reconstruct to its former glory. Great video and thanks for sharing.
Whilst not technically urban it does fall within the term urban exploration, it all boils down to the same thing - exploration of abandoned buildings and other similar places of interest. If old airfields and hangers or bunkers in the middle of nowhere is regarded as being under UE umbrella then so is this.
As for it being laughed at, I would doubt it really, they [28DL] can be a bit snobby about some things people post on there but none UK explores are usually more widely accepted.
i go in these places and it intregues me to think who last sat there or who last used that tap... its a great hobby if you've never tried it give it a go... just don't go getting injured after this comment and make sure you know what your doin
I personally wouldn't call this urbex as such, and I can tell you that if you posted this on 28DL you'd be laughed at. Having said that, I think collective attitudes at 28DL are apalling anyway.
I'd call this 'rural exploration'... some very nice pictures there as well.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
You posted this on 28DL and weren't laughed out the door? I am surprised. Maybe you posted it before the snotty userbase of today.
What is urbex? URBan EXploration. This was not in an urban area nor are castles generally considered urbex. Urbex is power stations, refineries, breweries, factories, etc.
I ain't saying it's a bad video, I'm just saying i don't consider it urbex, more 'rural-ex'. Don't get in a pickle about it.
How did you get inside this castle? Did you have to break a window? Why didn't you take any of the stuff? You could have made some money on Ebay with it.
@urbantravel This is definitely an awesome find. Don't let SuperSprinters jealous negativity bother you. This is a beautiful place. Thanks for sharing and keep up the great work! :-)
urbantravel Don't worry about 28 Days Later. It is a forum full of retards who are completely up their own arses sucking up to each other & trying to be the "coolest."
Urbex is what you make of it, but it's generally exploring anything in the built environment that the public doesn't see. It includes abandonned castles in a rural location & in-use power stations in an urban one. If you can infiltrate, it's urbex.
New Wave Urbex Smash is about wrecking old places which are due to be demolished.
@SPTSuperSprinter156 this is urbex to all the urbex people I know. I mean what, we're gonna have to have nicknames like rurex or countrysideex? LOLL... it's just more convenient. The things we don't say urbex for are draining and climbing cranes. Pretty much if it's a building it's urbex (or mines). Then again I'm on a diff. forum than the one you're on.
@urbantravel your right, it is the exploration of abandoned buildings, and if you would be 'laughed at' putting this on 28dl then why dont their members laugh at their own for posting pics of stuff that it is out in the middle of rural areas like all the military bases and such ? IMO the name 'urbex' is flawed as many sites are not urban at all, far from it.
Wow! What a beautiful place! Such a pity that it's fell into disrepair! If I had the money I would definitely move in a fix it up though! It also looks like a great place to film a movie! :D
can hardly call that place a castle. it's far more lavish and expensive than anything i ever lived in, but i'd still have to call it a mansion, rather than a castle.
i hate when people fix everything that has been untouched for years, if i owned things like this.. i would leave it be, if something was extremly messed up, i'd fix it just enough to look the same and be the same

Because every other person on YT seems to be setting their vids to music by 009 Sound System. Either this track or "With a spirit"
Come on be original please!
