@Aleenapoo: You know, before I watched this, I loved the CD version too, along with the fact that it's just a great song, for its upbeat tempo. But after seeing it like this, it's much more beautiful and sad, and simply fits the words better. It's not a happy song. This version definitely has more emotion in it! But then again you can't get that in a CD.

A good part of the messaqe Hayley conveys in her music is with her eyes and facial expression. A CD version of the song misses that... aside from the fact she is incredibly beautiful, and a CD doesn't capture that either.

I love this young lady. This is probably my favorite song by her. She sounds as if it were written for her. 2 years before my father died he shut me out because of a new marriage late in life. When I heard this song right after his death I had to wonder who had painted the moon black and why he walked away from me. She is well in the company of Streisand, Linda Eder, Midler, and others all with excellent voices.

You are totally correct,"cocoakoka". She sounds as good live as she does on her albums. This is not true of other popular artists such as Enya who doesn't have the same dynamic acoustics in her voice that Hayley does. Enya's music is full of electronic processing and layering when done in the studio and it robs her voice of the same mid-range clarity that causes Hayley's voice to project her perfect overtones and inflections. It's easy to see why you have so many "thumbs up" !!
